Webzen’s (NASDAQ: WZEN) Soul of The Ultimate NationTM ("SUN") exceeded 400,000 PCU in China.
Soul of The Ultimate NationTM ("SUN"), which has been serviced in China by The9 Ltd. (NASDAQ: NCTY) as the Chinese name “奇迹世界”, commenced open beta service on April 18 at 10 am. All servers were full after 2 hours, and on April 20, PCU surpassed 400,000, setting a big record.
"SUN" has been ranked #1 for most anticipated games in the Chinese market, and this has come to realization with the commencement of the open beta service. According to the China game portal website 17173.com (www.17173.com), “SUN” was ranked #1 in terms of page views, exceeding 2nd rank by more than twice the page views. Also, “SUN” was ranked #1 in various internet portal ranking websites such as “Baidu” (www.baidu.com), “Google China” (http://www.google.com/intl/zh-CN/), ”Xunlei” (www.xunlei.com), and “China Rank”(www.chinarank.org.cn)
In addition, “SUN” has commenced commercial service in Taiwan on April 19, and is getting a good response. We expect the commercial service in China to positively contribute to Webzen’s revenue structure.
