WEBZEN, a leading global developer and publisher of PC and mobile games has announced the latest update patch for its long-running iconic PC MMORPG, MU Online, showcasing the mighty Guardian Leviathan and the potent new Mastery Weapons.
The Sea Dragon of the MU Continent, the 6th Guardian Leviathan, has been introduced in the latest update. It can be acquired by combining Ullr (the 5th Guardian) with the Leviathan Seal, available in the Ruud Shop. Players above level 1,300 can then equip it and experience significant enhancements in speed, attack, and resistance
Along with this, the 10th Mastery Weapons, the Ancient Lightning Weapons, are also now available for all classes. The weapons can be crafted with a 100% success rate by combining Apocalypse Weapons (9th Mastery Weapons) with a Mastery Combination material. Once equipped, excellent options will be increased according to each weapon and class.
The MU Online team has furthermore implemented Artifact Rank Upgrade, in which the rank of Artifacts can be upgraded with two Artifacts of the same type, option and level. Skill Enhancement Tree System has also been overhauled by improving Stats Point Enhancement Method and adding variable stat 'Command' to the Skill Enhancement Tree of the Dark Lord class.
Moreover, various game systems have been refined. First, the level ranges will be subdivided into Chaos Castle, Blood Castle, Devil’s Square, and Doppelganger with revised monster balance. In addition, the recommended play level and monster soul settings for the Monster Soul Converter have been adjusted and the boss spawn times have been unified for easier participation.
The MU Online team will also be holding special events to commemorate the third update of MU Season 19-2 until April 1.
The elite zone in the Distorted Karutan will be open during the event period. The drop rate of the Elite Monsters in the zone will be doubled and MIN/MAX Elemental Attack for all monsters will be reduced by 20%.
A triple roulette event will be held for 3 weeks, where points will be accumulated based on the number of times the roulettes are spun and handsome rewards such as Lightning Weapon and Apocalypse Weapon will be given to the top ranked players.
During the same period, Chaos Castle, Blood Castle, Group Boss Battle and Devil Square rewards, along with the rate of acquiring Guardian Upgrade Stone from NPC Moss will be doubled, and 1st Mastery Equipment (Bloodangel Weapon/Armor) will not disappear even after the enhancement fails until +11.
Special sales that include the Guardian Capsule containing the 6th Guardian Leviathan and Artifact sales are available until the next maintenance on April 1.
Finally, MU Lite is set to return with its second season on March 18.
Differing from the previous season, MU Lite has been renewed with more dynamic and strategic elements, offering greater flexibility and enhanced game controls. All global players will be able to download the MU Lite app from the Google Play Store or App Store and log in using their existing MU Online accounts to play.
