WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the start of the first ‘World Guild Championship’ for the MMORPG ‘ARCHLORD’.
Today, WEBZEN opened the pre-registration page for the ‘World Guild Championship’ that will begin on June 11, 2012 with a grand prize of $10,000 (USD) and rewards including new unrevealed unique items.
The ‘World Guild Championship’ will allow all participants to battle with each other between different servers using a preset character equipped with the same armor and weapons. Being under this same condition, guilds will need cooperation with each other to build strategies and show their PvP skills to win the grand prize.
To register for the tournament, guild masters and their members must complete an in-game quest. The registration will continue until May 30th through the official ARCHLORD website (archlord.webzen.com).
On June 4th, the tournament bracket will be announced where participants will be able to see who their opponents will be. WEBZEN plans to set the bracket to have world versus world matches which will add more excitement to the tournament.
Jihun Lee, Head of Global Publishing, said “Being the first ‘World Guild Championship’, we are anticipating good results from all participants who will battle to be the most powerful guild and win the grand prize.” Also he said, “We hope users will have more interest as we are putting much effort to provide better services and an expansion update coming this August.”
Meanwhile, during the pre-registration period, various events including monster hunting and cash item giveaway events will take place for all users to enjoy.
