WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the start of the second closed beta for the online tactical FPS game, ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’, holding e-sports tournaments for North America and Europe.
This October 10th (GST), Arctic Combat will open its 2nd closed beta revealing new contents and holding the regional qualification tournaments for North America and Europe. Players can receive beta keys from the many game media sites and redeem it at the official Arctic Combat website (ac.webzen.com).
For this closed beta, two new maps, ‘Downtown’ and ‘Vintage’, will be revealed, providing more variety to contents. The newly added ‘Customization System’ will allow players to change the appearance and performance of their weaponry. Also, the ‘Clan System’ will be added, giving clan members an experience and point boost while enhancing team-based gameplay.
Meanwhile, Arctic Combat’s ‘Veterans League’ is continuing the excitement of the e-sports community. During this closed beta, the 2nd qualification online tournament will take place for North America and Europe. Each region’s winning team will compete against the winners of the first tournament, ‘Mops’ (NA) and ‘Venezuela’ (EU), on October 27th, to determine who will be invited to the World Championship offline tournament at G-Star 2012 in November.
