WEBZEN signs partnership agreements with Crimoons to publish a new mobile idle R

WEBZEN announced that it has recently signed a game publishing agreement for a new mobile idle RPG with a game developer Crimoons (www.crimoons.com).
WEBZEN and Crimoons will work together to release an upcoming mobile game called ‘Project F’ (tentative name) with character collection and idle RPG features to the global market including the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and more.
WEBZEN will team up with the developer to target the global market with Project F, providing localized game services for each country or region.
Project F is a new collection-driven idle RPG based on the storyline of strife-torn races who fought against the fallen gods. Along with plenty of in-game social features, the game will be designed to offer co-op experiences with other players, which makes the game stand out from other idle RPGs.
Currently, specific information such as the release date of Project F is not disclosed. WEBZEN plans to draw up specific plans for naming the game, setting the release date and other business procedures in accordance with the game development progress.
With this new partnership, WEBZEN expects to expand its business and add a new genre to the line-up of games in addition to its previous hardcore MMORPGs such as the ‘MU’ series, ‘R2’, and more.
Crimoons is a developer based in Chengdu, China, specialized in mobile game development and game-related cultural content business. With this first collaboration with WEBZEN, the developer will take their first step towards South Korea and other regions by rolling out their game to the global game market.
Apart from this partnership, WEBZEN has recently signed more than three publishing and investment contracts with domestic or foreign developers and is currently working on confidential projects as of now. WEBZEN plans to disclose the details of each project to the public in accordance with the business and development schedules.
Meanwhile, WEBZEN is currently expanding its investment and partnerships by seeking promising development companies, startups, and qualified developers to accomplish one of WEBZEN’s key business goals for 2022 - to strengthen its game publishing. WEBZEN plans to secure the most recent technology to keep pace with cross-play service, as well as a wide range of game genres to reach to worldwide gamers.

MU Archangel’s latest update goes live today and features Ordeals of Marune, So

WEBZEN announced that its mobile MMORPG, MU Archangel will go into maintenance today, July 28th, to roll the latest 1.10 update and patches.
Players can enjoy new game features including Ordeals of Marune, Soul Training, Holy Armor, and Luck Craft, coming with the upcoming update after the maintenance.
Ordeals of Marune is a new event quest where players can overcome the Ordeals and receive a wide variety of rewards. Once players reach a certain tier and level, the Ordeals of Marune opens the following day at 05:00 (game server time) for 10 days and a total of 7 Ordeals will take place.
The new Soul Training content will enable players to unlock the Mystic Land, and once unlocked, they can receive the Soul - Soul of Light, Soul of Sand, Soul of Ice, Soul of Spirit, and Soul of Power, which is their character's mirror image. The Soul can be upgraded by acquiring Soul options which can be obtained through upgrading and evolving equipment, equipping various equipment, and promoting Pet.
Each Mystic Land consists of a main dungeon and sub dungeon, and players have only 3 challenge chances every day and the limit of daily reset at 05:00 (game server time).
The Mystic Lands including Mystic Land of Light, Mystic Land of Sand, Mystic Land of Ice, Mystic Land of Spirit, and Mystic Land of Power will continue being unlocked whenever the character reaches a certain Trial of each Mystic Land and completed the Class Change that meets the requirement. Players can acquire Refined Crystal, Garnet, and other various rewards through completing each Trial of Mystic Land.
Furthermore, players can select their Mystic Land rewards as a part of the Weekly Reward. The selected Mystic Land's Demonify Seal buff will automatically be applied to enter to the private channel of Land of Demons.
The newly updated Holy Armor will allow players to get a strong defense boost in battle against other characters. After reaching Master Lv. 230 and completing the 6th Class Change and the [Holy Armor's Trail] sub quest, Holy Armor will activate during PVP status and give players a powerful DMG Reduction effect.
The latest update also brings the new Luck Craft content for players who reach Master Lv. 200 to upgrade their 6th Tier or higher equipment. Along with crafting their Luck on the equipment, the default Luck option is greatly increased and a new option, Lethal Chance, will be granted.
MU Archangel’s global version is currently available to download on the Google Play Store and App Store in Southeast Asia countries only, in English, Thai and Chinese.

WEBZEN Launches R2M in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao

WEBZEN has launched its new mobile MMORPG《R2M : 重燃戰火》in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, marking the end of the pre-registration period.
《R2M : 重燃戰火》is now available for free download on the Google Play and App Store, in Traditional Chinese. The game is currently only available in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.
Along with this launch, WEBZEN unveiled the official launch video for 《R2M : 重燃戰火》on Webzen’s YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/nZoCY6DyVP0 showing the detailed features of 4 playable characters.
R2M is the R2 IP-based MMORPG, available on iOS and Android, developed by WEBZEN Redcore, that comprises the core aspects of the original PC game ‘R2(Reign of Revolution)’, a beloved Korean PC online game of over 16 years.
In the game, players can expect to engage in large-scale PvP battles at Spots and Sieges on mobile. Also, players can transform into 132 character’s appearances and experience fancy combat animations and effects and summon over 37 Servants to accompany players with various effects on their adventure.
Meanwhile, R2M recorded 1 million pre-registered users after three days during the pre-registration period ahead of its launch in South Korea. After the launch, the game proved to be a hit, reaching 1.2 million registered players, and placing Top 3 in Google Play's top-grossing chart.
To celebrate the launch, WEBZEN is running various events to offering a daily login bonus, level rewards, bug report and survey rewards, and various in-game items.
Additionally, WEBZEN has teamed up with MyCard, a partner for digital content payments, to celebrate this launch. When users top up the MyCard points, they will receive extra points and various in-game rewards.

MU Online Season 17 Part 1 adds two new characters and Speed Server events

WEBZEN has released the latest update Season 17 Part 1 for its classic PC MMORPG MU Online.
MU Online is the long-running PC MMORPG that was developed by Webzen in 2001. Following up on countless content updates for many years, Season 17 Part 1 welcomes two new characters - White Wizard: Kundun Mephis and Mage: Lemuria - for the first time in Global MU Online history alongside the new season of the Speed Server.
They are doppelganger-themed characters of Kundun and Lemuria from the background story of MU Online. Kundun Mephis utilizes the opposite element as that of the Dark Wizard, using Staves and Magic Books as weapons and holy magic skills using Light Energy.
Lemuria uses an Orb as the main weapon and magic skills in the form of spheres, and these two characters are only available to play in the Speed Server.
In addition to new characters, MU Online’s latest update brings a new season of the Speed Server event. In the Speed Server, players can not only take the fast track to reaching level 700 but also participate in special events and receive benefits.
Upon reaching level 700, players can receive +11 3rd Wings & 100,000 Ruud along with free character transfer support to their original server.
Especially, players who play with the new White Wizard or Mage character will earn Gold Channel Tickets and extra rewards in the Speed Server.
Additionally, level-up rewards, purchase bonuses, transfer bonus rewards, and special in-game giveaways will be ready for all players playing in the Speed Server.
The Speed Server Ranking Event will also give out Divine Archangel Weapon, Pink Panda Ring and Rudd for the Top 50 ranked players. The Speed Server event starts today and only lasts until August 16.
Aside from these events, the Speed UP Package and time-limited offers are also waiting for players.

WEBZEN Launches R2M in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao on July 26

WEBZEN announced that its upcoming mobile MMORPG titled《R2M : 重燃戰火》will launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao on July 26.
WEBZEN hosted an online showcase today for gamers and media on the Webzen YouTube channel (WEBZEN Games - Official - YouTube) to reveal the release date and specific service plan for several regions.
In this showcase, Development Director Sungju An and Head of Business Department Jinsoo Lee explained the key features of the game and announced its launch plan.
In particular, game development stories and unique features which set R2M apart from other games, including the large-scale PvP at Spots and Sieges on mobile, guild features and dungeons were revealed through interviews, in-game screenshots, and footages.
To address the curiosity of gamers in those regions ahead of the launch, WEBZEN addressed questions submitted by players on the official Facebook page and introduced detailed character features, business model, localization work, operating plan, and messages for the Taiwanese gamers.
There was a giveaway event unveiling a surprise coupon code for viewers watching this online showcase. Players can enter the coupon code and get Weapon/Armor/Accessory Enhancement Scrolls after the official launch.
At the end of the showcase, a video message from popular Taiwanese influencers was presented, where they voiced their opinions and increased the expectations of the upcoming launch of 《R2M : 重燃戰火》.
