WEBZEN unveils Awaken Legends: IDLE RPG for the global market

WEBZEN has opened a teaser website for its new mobile idle RPG "Awaken Legends: IDLE RPG" today.
Awaken Legends: IDLE RPG (a.k.a project F) is a new idle RPG that allows gamers to enjoy a variety of battle contents combined according to the characteristics of their hero collection and character development.
The game features over 50 powerful heroes to collect, intense PvP battles to wage, boundless worlds to explore, thrilling RPG adventure, and the strongest AFK squad in the land.

The game will be localized and released across multiple regions including: the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and more.

MU Archangel’s latest update introduces the new Soul Weapon and Relic system, l

WEBZEN announced that its mobile MMORPG, MU Archangel received the latest 1.12 update patch on September 27th.
The latest update introduces the new character growth system to the game, including Soul Weapon, and Relic content.
The Soul Weapon system allows players to strengthen their character, as well as enjoy battles along with the use of an exclusive skill and effect at Chrysos Arena. Soul Weapon content opens after reaching Master Lv. 400, and players can absorb, refine, promote, and awaken the Resonance Effect and become more powerful by upgrading their effect. Also, players can continue to equip a maximum of 4 Soul Circles to increase the power gained from the Set Effects.
With this new system, players can try to awaken 2 parts of a Soul Weapon Set to acquire the Resonance Effect. When the Soul Weapon reaches Legendary rating, the Resonance Effect level will be increased.
MU Archangel has also added the Relic system, letting players complete the Magic Circle in their own way to become much more powerful. Players can open the Relic once they reach Master Lv. 280 and then complete the [Appearance of the Relic] sub quest.
Activating the Relic grants players basic option and property skills, and players can obtain Magic Circle points by activating and awakening their Relic to activate the Magic Sphere and choose a Magic Sphere Property for their own strategy in the game.
The maximum level has been increased from Lv. 1,235 to Lv. 1,505 and Angel IX Tier 45. To commemorate the level cap increase, new BOSS monsters, new Sanctuary Ordeals dungeons, expanded dungeon floors of Blood Castle, Icaria, Kalima and Elemental Altar, and new daily package rewards are also available in the game.

MU Archangel adds new Scepter content in its latest update

WEBZEN announced that its mobile MMORPG, MU Archangel received the latest 1.11 update patch yesterday.
MU Archangel’s global version is currently available to download on the Google Play Store and App Store in Southeast Asian countries only, in English, Thai and Chinese.
Following the previous Crown content updated in May, the latest version of the game features a new Scepter content to keep its legion of SEA fans entertained.
Players can open the Scepter content with 6 Gem slots once they reach Master level 300. Gems for equipping in the Slots can be acquired in the Land of Demons and have 4 Ratings - Magic/Epic/Unique/Legendary.
When equipping Gems into the Scepter, players can acquire various options and Gem skills as well as powerful AOE Skills (PVP). Various Gem skills that are helpful in strategic battles can be acquired by equipping Gems of Unique or Legendary rating.
To continue boosting their character’s stats, players can increase their Gem Star Rating up to 11 stars by using Power Stones. In addition to the upgrade, Gem level-up is available for higher option effects. To level up, players need Mithril Crystals which can be acquired from World BOSS.
Gem Awakening is another new feature that increases the speed of AOE Skill Energy Charge when Awakening Skills are activated. Also, the new Gem Marking feature allows players to acquire various Marking Options and powerful Property Effects when equipping Legendary Exclusive Markings.
Lastly, players can manage and upgrade their Gem Storage Tier by dismantling their unused Gems or Gem Markings. As the Gem Storage tier increases, the Gem Storage options also increase.

MU Online’s latest update adds two new maps and plenty of events

WEBZEN has announced the latest update for its classic PC MMORPG MU Online.
Following the Season 17 Part 1 Update in July, the new patch brings two new maps - Old Kethotum and Burning Kethotum along with some limited-time events that will offer various in-game rewards.
Kethotum is the lost city where Kundun was dominated by the sealed dark god and now lies sealed. Players who reach level 700 and 1,160 can enter Old Kethotum and Burning Kethotum respectively.
Starting from today until September 6th, the newly updated map will allow players to collect Elemental Symbols (Fire/Water/Earth/Wind/Darkness) from the elemental monsters in Burning Kethotum. After collecting them, players can go to NPC Lahap to combine the Elemental Symbols to acquire the Elemental Box containing rare items such as Sealed Bloodangel Armor.
In addition to this update, the MU Expedition Event will offer players a second golden chance to obtain exclusive support for players who have missed the Speed server and created Kundun and Lemuria in the original server.
Anyone who creates a new character such as Kundun or Lemuria will get the Talisman of Ascension (3 days). With the new character level-up event, various rewards including Gold Channel Tickets, Darkangel Soul, and much more will be waiting for each level until level 800 is reached.
Along with the max level expansion to lv. 1,400 in this update, the EXP Boost Event where players can get extra EXP of 30% will be running until the maintenance on September 6th. Once players reach level 1,350, a Limited Edition Kundun & Lemuria Muun Reward will be given through the Gremory case in the ‘Season Level Reward Box’.
Furthermore, there will be a Mastery Equipment Enchantment Event, Fruit Decrease Stat Reset Event, and Seed Sphere Free Cost Event for players to take part in, offering them the chance to earn various rewards.
Lastly, the Bullet Roulette Event and Roulette Point Ranking Event are now live. Players must use their Goblin Points and get 5 Dimensional Keys to play the Dimensional Roulette for 1 minute. Also, Top 200 Roulette Point rankers will get special prizes such as Blessed Divine Archangel Weapon, Brilliant Armor, Manticore Weapon, Ruud, and more. Especially, the Top ranker who earns the most Ranking Points for each week will receive additional rare set items, +0 4th Wing + Luck +2 Option [Level 3].

WEBZEN signs partnership agreements with Crimoons to publish a new mobile idle R

WEBZEN announced that it has recently signed a game publishing agreement for a new mobile idle RPG with a game developer Crimoons (www.crimoons.com).
WEBZEN and Crimoons will work together to release an upcoming mobile game called ‘Project F’ (tentative name) with character collection and idle RPG features to the global market including the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and more.
WEBZEN will team up with the developer to target the global market with Project F, providing localized game services for each country or region.
Project F is a new collection-driven idle RPG based on the storyline of strife-torn races who fought against the fallen gods. Along with plenty of in-game social features, the game will be designed to offer co-op experiences with other players, which makes the game stand out from other idle RPGs.
Currently, specific information such as the release date of Project F is not disclosed. WEBZEN plans to draw up specific plans for naming the game, setting the release date and other business procedures in accordance with the game development progress.
With this new partnership, WEBZEN expects to expand its business and add a new genre to the line-up of games in addition to its previous hardcore MMORPGs such as the ‘MU’ series, ‘R2’, and more.
Crimoons is a developer based in Chengdu, China, specialized in mobile game development and game-related cultural content business. With this first collaboration with WEBZEN, the developer will take their first step towards South Korea and other regions by rolling out their game to the global game market.
Apart from this partnership, WEBZEN has recently signed more than three publishing and investment contracts with domestic or foreign developers and is currently working on confidential projects as of now. WEBZEN plans to disclose the details of each project to the public in accordance with the business and development schedules.
