WEBZEN has announced a collaboration with artists from a wide range of genres to combine games and art.
WEBZEN is currently presenting ‘MUTE', an art exhibition of artwork from ‘MU’ which is a one of WEBZEN’s Intellectual Property in Korea. The exhibition will be held for public visitors in the gallery until the 30th of October, 2017.
WEBZEN has teamed up with 5 famous Korean artists such as Chowol Park, Yoonjin Jo, Danbi Kim, Nari Choi, and Junghu Jang, to showcase works of art with the theme of Play Gallery 'MUTE’: Things to see if you cut down on sound'. The exhibit features more than 14 art works on MU Online’s dynamic game story without game sound, combining to create a serene atmosphere of their most talented visual artists.
Along with the first collaboration with modern art, WEBZEN is expected to showcase a mysterious and enormous MU’s lore to not only the game fans but also the public.
In addition to the artworks, WEBZEN showcases various branded merchandise products such as art book, phone accessory, and mug designed by game artworks in the exhibition.
Starting from this new event, WEBZEN plans to continue to collaborate with overseas artists from various genres such as art, music, and cartoon to combine game and art. WEBZEN is also seeking potential partners in order to expand their IP business.
Meanwhile, for the global markets, Wezben is working on the long-standing MU franchise in the run up the launch of ARPG MU Legend, the newest addition to the dynasty.
