WEBZEN has launched its new mobile golf game Shot Online Golf: World Championship in Canada.
Shot Online Golf: World Championship is a realistic golf game that brings an authentic golf experience straight to players through their mobile devices. The game is the follow-up to WEBZEN's PC golf MMO Shot Online, in which players compete against human opponents in real time on a range of real and fictional courses.
After the previous closed beta in June, more than 20% of beta testers participated in a survey to help the Shot Online Golf team improve the quality of the game. As a result of the survey, the game now comes with a whole new set of features and system improvements, further enhancing the previous closed beta versions.
Currently only available in Canada, Shot Online Golf: World Championship allows players to level up, unlock skills and tear up the fairway against real opponents on their iOS or Android devices. The game features superb graphics, realistic gameplay, 1v1 real-time matches and more than 100 golf clubs and costumes with which to customize characters.
Various modes of play are also available, including the Betting Challenge and Academy modes. The Betting Challenge allows players to bet a certain amount of in-game cash on a 1-hole match, with winners receiving double the bet as a reward.
In the Academy mode, players can hone their skills and play their way through various lessons and missions in order to achieve the coveted Pro title. To clear the more challenging Academy missions, players can upgrade clubs and costumes to improve stats.
Event matches are also available, which include longest drive, nearest (closest ball to the hole wins) and putting competitions.
Shot Online Golf: World Championship is now available for free download in the App Store and Google Play in Canada. The full, global release is slated for 2018 on both iOS and Android.
