  • WEBZEN established its subsidiary, WEBZEN&PLAY in Korea

    February 10, 2014 (Seoul, Korea) – WEBZEN Inc., a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, established its subsidiary, WEBZEN&PLAY Inc. to enhance development capability and strengthen expertise.
    
    WEBZEN consolidated its game studios and affiliates as a single developer except for WEBZEN Mobile Inc..WEBZEN completed the legal steps necessary for the establishment of WEBZEN&PLAY on February 4, 2014, and now holds 100 percent of the company shares.
    
    In Gyu Lee was elected WEBZEN&PLAY's CEO, and he has been responsible for the game development at NHN Inc. and WEBZEN for 10 years.
    
    Along with the establishment, WEBZEN is expected to increase the efficiency of operating game development organization and the costs, and to enhance individual creativity and expertise through the specialized personnel management for game developer.
    
    As Innovation and fun are core values of corporate management, WEBZEN&Play will improve treatment for the talented developers to create the good content as a professional game developer.

    WEBZEN is currently working on the upcoming release of the MMORPG ARCHLORD 2, MU 2 and the mobile game MU THE GENESIS, as well as other games under development for the global market.
