WEBZEN soft- launches ‘MU Origin’, a 100% Real-time mobile MMORPG

Seoul, Korea - 30th March, 2016 - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, soft-launched one of its upcoming mobile games called MU Origin on iOS and Android in Canada and Ireland today, getting the game ready for its western release soon.
MU Origin is a stunning real-time MMORPG that lets players embark on an epic fantasy journey, successfully transferred full 3D PC MMORPG MU ONLINE's enormous amount of contents and applied the latest mobile game trends: the game system and user interface which are optimized to mobile devices, and the splendid graphics.
MU Origin offers the full 3D epic MMORPG experience, featuring fast paced easy levelling, endless levels and contents. Players can meet friends, create parties, and gear up to fight against the evil on a vast open world to bring back tranquillity.
Starting from today, players will be able to download MU Origin from the Google Play and App Store in select regions. Player across iOS and Android can join forces with powerful players and conquer enemies in the immersive world of MU Origin, while supporting cross-platform multiplayer.
MU Origin is only available in English, but players can enjoy many dungeon raids, in-game events according to their time zones, including PST, EST, and UTC.
To celebrate this soft launch, a lot of exciting events and giveaways will be running throughout the launch. Players can get free items while playing the game during the happy hour, and other events will be delivered to the official MU Origin community, including Facebook and Forum.
Full launch of the game is currently scheduled for spring 2016 in many other territories of Europe, North and South America. WEBZEN Announces the Lineup for 2016

Seoul, Korea - 29th March, 2016 - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, today showcased more than 7 upcoming games scheduled to be released in South Korea this year.
This lineup includes different types of platforms, including client-based, browser-based and mobile games. Along with a video and presentation, WEBZEN today announced that the most anticipated game titled “MU LEGEND (aka MU2)” is set to begin the first Closed Beta Test in Korea on April 21st 2016(KST).
Developed by WEBZEN, MU LEGEND is the much-hyped new MMORPG, the prequel of the WEBZEN's major title MU ONLINE. Built on ‘Unreal Engine 3’, MU LEGEND is highly anticipated work with powerful hack-and-slash combat, various PVP contents, and stunning graphics.
WEBZEN also unveiled a new mobile action MORPG with a unique pet system titled THE BEAST, coming to Korean gamers in May 2016.

Shot Online Announces its Next Big Update for Tuesday, 15th March

Seoul, Korea - 10th March, 2016 - WEBZEN ONNET, an operator of online free-to-play games portal GamesCampus, today announced that its popular PC-action/role-playing golf title Shot Online will bring its latest content update and brand-new features on 15th March, 2016 (UTC).
Mixing professional golf with RPG and competitive mechanics, Shot Online brings the world of competitive sports straight to the user. Shot Online is a highly accurate simulation with deep role-playing elements, making it more than just an online sports game. These RPG qualities are what make Shot Online the addictive game it is, with community interaction alongside character levels and enhancements.
With the newest update, a long awaited expansion, Scenario 5 Quests will become available for the Shot Online communities, expanding a current storyline by more than 5,000 minutes and providing an additional 160 quests in total. Scenario 5 allows players to meet the NPC Andre Lieu for the first time, and to use the new function named 'Andre's Knowhow'. In addition, players who achieve the new title of World Pro III will receive a World Pro Ball [45%], a new World Driver and an enhanced World Pro Buff as a reward.
The March content update also brings AI Golfman and AI Partner. AI Golfman is a bot that appears when 1 of a 4-player team leaves the game after the 9th hole of an 18-hole round, allowing players to continue to receive EXP x4 or other benefits. Normal, Hard, and Normal/Hard Random courses are only available with Stroke and 18-hole rounds.
AI Partner is a bot that can play entire rounds with another player, allowing them to receive the benefits of co-playing. Players are permitted only 1 partner per account, and can call their partner by opening the Partner Contact Item and selecting from four difficulty levels.
Along with these new features, the update will introduce many improvements to the game, including an EXP system adjustment between the Global and EU servers.
To celebrate the arrival of this new update, the Shot Online team is hosting the following in-game events: Starting off with a bang, existing players can boost their characters to higher scenario levels with two available Scenario Jumping Books, allowing them to begin from Lv. 102 or Lv. 120. In addition, the New Caddie EXP Event will get under way, with the usual 3D Caddie Contract.

The Season 11 Part 1 is now available for MU Online

Seoul, Korea - 8th of March, 2016 - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, announced that the full-3D MMORPG MU Online released the Season 11 Part 1 today, a new content patch.
The Season 11 Part 1 invites the players to Ferea, a new area, featuring a stunning city full of magnificent structures and artworks. Only players with a level 400 character or higher are allowed to enter Ferea, where many enemies await them. Defeat the Ferea Knights, Fighters, Archers, Generals and the most powerful boss monster Lord of Ferea to get a number of valuable drop-items.
With this content update, Darkangel Mastery Set items are now available for all classes and players can purchase Excellent Bloodangel Weapons from the Ruud Shop. Players can also upgrade their Divine Archangel Weapon to a higher level of power and speed. Its exclusive skill, the "Archangel’s Will" buff, will be applied to all party members.
Furthermore, MU Season 11-1 introduces many improvements to the game, including the character Information Window, an Elemental System update and the addition of new skills.
Starting from today, the MU Online team is celebrating the arrival of the new content patch with the following events and promotions for the MU Online’s community.
What: Defeat the Lord of Ferea
Event Period: 2016/03/08 ~ 2016/03/29 (UTC)
Details: Once the players have formed a team consisting of one to multiple parties (Maximum 10 parties), they can upload and submit their YouTube video of their team defeating Lord of Ferea. The three best videos will be selected by the MU Online team, and all the members of the winning team will receive special prizes on the second week of April, such as Ruud, a Master Package and some Wings of Angel and Devil.
What: Upgrade your Divine Weapon to the fullest
Event Period: 2016/03/08 ~ 2016/03/22 (UTC)
Details: All the players who upgrade their NEW Divine Weapon to +15 by using the Archangel’s Hammer and Jewels will receive some Wings of Conqueror (30 days).
What: Facebook Sharing Marathon

Details: Share Season 11 Part 1’s news on your Facebook! The MU Online team will give out free reward packages, including a Brown Panda Ring, a Pet Demon, a Normal/Master Seal of Ascension and a Talisman of Ascension according to the total number of Shares when the event ends.
By March 22, the New & Returning Player Promotion will be underway. All the new players who create their first MU character and log in the game during the event period will be able to get a special package, including a Gold Channel Ticket (14 days), a Normal Scroll Set (14 days), a Figurine of Antelope (14 days) and a Pet Demon (14 days).
Returning players who haven’t logged in to MU Online since the 11st August 2016 will receive a gift package including a Gold Channel Ticket (14 days) along with more items.

Age of Wulin "Chapter 8: Uncharted World" Now Available

Seoul, Korea - 8th of March, 2016 - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, announces that the martial arts MMORPG Age of Wulin released a new expansion "Chapter 8: Uncharted World" on 8th of March, 2016 (UTC).
Players can explore new regions starting from today, expanding the variety and beauty of Age of Wulin as sun-scorched deserts, stunning and vast grasslands, breath-taking snowy peaks and mysterious forests of stone are introduced. Each new region will come with its own charming and unique storyline quests, which will continue to immerse players in Age of Wulin’s deep and exciting lore.
With the latest expansion, a new game mode allows players to take care of their characters' well-being like never before. Improving Age of Wulin’s sandbox gameplay, players will now be able to manage a character's constitution, hunger, thirst, body temperature and much more.
The Uncharted World also offers new resources, new secret areas and new fighting techniques such as traps and a flags system. Even nature itself cannot be trusted anymore, as players will now have to watch out for changes in weather and roaming packs of wolves in addition to their regular enemies. Resources can be gathered in the New World to manufacture items needed for survival, such as water pouches, ice packs, winter coats, or medicine to restore a character's health. Prevailing in the fight for survival will reward only the fittest in the Uncharted World, as victorious players are now able to loot all riches from their defeated opponents.
With Chapter 8: Uncharted World, players will be able to challenge themselves and discover 6 new secret areas, which are lore-based exploration dungeons. The secret areas can be found in the Northern Regions (Nameless Cave, Divine Water Palace, Ancient Tomb) and the Western Regions (Stone Forest Cave, Gold Centipede Cave, Loulan Treasury). As each player’s decisions in these dungeons will matter, and ultimately affect the lore of their character and world, players will need to choose their paths wisely.
In addition, the Uncharted World introduces a new housing system, allowing players to claim their very own parcel of land, build a house and customize it to their every whim. More than 100 different pieces of furniture allow players and their friends to receive powerful buffs and prepare them for their new adventures. Using the new range of interactions within the housing system, players can protect their friends’ houses or vandalize their enemies’ houses.
Ten brand-new and devastating skill sets will also help adventurers in their missions to become the greatest Kung Fu legends of all time. The Jianghu will never be the same again once players add some unique scenery records and a brand-new weapon type (Dual Axes) to their inventories.
