Age of Wulin: New Expansion for June
-
Seoul, Korea – 8th June, 2015 – WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, announces that the martial arts MMORPG Age of Wulin will release a new expansion on June 16th, named Chapter 6: Blood & Flowers.
Following Heaven’s Ascent, Chapter 6: Blood & Flowers brings many exciting features and challenges for the Age of Wulin community with Lingxiao City, a new player battleground, the Flower Prince competition, the Partner System and a new instance to discover: Island of Delight.
The icy gates of Lingxiao City open with Chapter 6, as players take charge of the defence or siege of Lingxiao City. Players will be attributed a faction at random, between Snow Mountain Sanctuary, Valley of Frozen Souls or Blood Sabre Clan, and will either fight off fierce invaders or become a defender of Lingxiao City itself.
The Shifting Flower Palace is one of the most secretive Factions, versed in the martial arts with ruthless warrior maidens, seeking revenge against the men who wronged them until now. Once a month, the Shifting Flower Palace will open the doors of this restricted Faction to male characters for the supreme title of Flower Prince, but not without setting conditions. The top ranked players in several categories, if they accept the invitation, will be bidding and fighting to become the new Prince of the Palace. Access to the Shifting Flower Palace and the title won’t be the only rewards, as the Flower Prince will receive also the Ancient Skill Set of this Faction to cultivate and a special outfit to parade in.
The Jianghu is a dangerous world and Chapter 6: Blood & Flowers will bring a new feature enhancing the social aspect of the game: the Partner System. Characters can build loyalty and befriend other characters choosing to do so. This new ally can be summoned during battles and allows players to learn from their own Combat and Internal skills among the options.
A new instance is introduced in Chapter 6: Blood & Flowers, the Island of Delight which follows the events of the Silver Hook Sword Boat from the previous expansion. Only the seasoned players can enter this instance to challenge the Hell King and unravel the illicit activities taking place on the Island of Delight.

New patch unlocks ranked tournament in Age of Wulin Chapter 5: Heaven's Ascent

Seoul, Korea – 26th May, 2015 – WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, announces that the martial arts MMORPG Age of Wulin released a new feature of Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent today.
“Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent”, now available in English, introduces the Ladder to Heavens Arena tournament, and the precious Class-06 equipment for reaching new heights of power, amongst the upcoming new features.
Age of Wulin ups the ante of the player versus player competition with the Ladder to Heavens Arena. Every day, players can enter this tournament, pick three skill sets and queue until they are matched with a competitor. Each match is best of 3, with 5 minutes timers on each duel. The more the player wins, the more the score is increased, unlocking the doors of the next tier of challengers and coming closer to the winner’s podium. The competition runs for a month, allowing players to enter 5 times a day, or 10 times for the Jianghu VIP. At the end of the month, the top 10 ranked players will be rewarded with prizes matching their position, including a fierce flying mount for the number one player. Participants who gained points during the tournament will also be able to redeem various useful items for their character including Ancient Manuals, skill books and materials.
“Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent” brings also the invaluable Class-06 equipment, through the new Age of Wulin Record named “Before the Final Battle”. Completing the events required will unlock the gear and allow players to acquire the several sets through different activities including crafting, challenging the Yanmen Pass, competing on the Battlefield or serving their Sect or Faction to a high degree.

ARCHLORD 2 releases Guild Battles

Seoul, Korea – 12th May 2015 - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, is delighted to announce that the PvP-focused MMORPG Archlord 2 just released its new content update focused on Guild Battles.
Starting today, new exciting features are available in Archlord 2, with the action-packed Guild Battles and a new area, El Dorado, in which characters from all levels can confront challenging new monsters in a limited timeframe for bountiful rewards.
Being part of a guild will now be even more rewarding, as the new update focuses on the highly anticipated Guild Battles, a weekly confrontation pitting guilds of the same faction against one another to vie for domination over specific territories with precious benefits at stake.
Each week, guilds can enter one of the five guild battle areas for their faction, trying to wrestle ownership of that area away from its current owner. Although only one guild will be defending a given territory, members of multiple guilds can participate as attackers. The goal is to seize a strategically important stronghold by capturing a relic, located within the stronghold and protected by thick walls. Strategy and teamwork will be paramount for victory, as only a guild master can capture the relic. Should they succeed, their guild will then become the new defending guild of the territory and a new phase of battle is initiated. The roles of the teams will change again if another guild is successful in capturing the relic. The winner of the battle will be the guild controlling the relic at the end of the battle. For a week, until the next round of guild battles starts, guild members will be able to use special skills and have access to discounts at NPC vendors and craftsmen within the borders of their new territory which may prove invaluable in their future battles.
As the name suggests, El Dorado will be both a zone of challenge and abundance for new and seasoned players. Available several times a day through the week, characters will have 30 minutes to kill the hundreds of much sought-after Golden Monsters in this new instance. In order to ensure maximum enjoyment from this instance, there will be no level restriction for the participants, nor any possible encounters with the opposite faction.

Age of Wulin: New expansion “Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent” for April!

Seoul, Korea – 8th April, 2015 – WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, announces that the martial arts MMORPG, Age of Wulin will release its fourth expansion on April 28th 2015.
Hard on the heels of “Chapter 4: Betrayal & Forgiveness”, the Age of Wulin team is currently working on a new expansion titled “Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent”. Chapter 5 is hyped to deliver many great features and challenges for the Wulin community, with the Ladder to Heavens Arena tournament and the new Class-06 equipment, to name a few.
As of April, players will test their strength with the Ladder to Heavens Arena, a PvP competition pitting participants selected randomly and with matching level across the server. The contest takes place daily, and is structured in a way that allows players of all levels to enjoy the combat and find benefit in the rewards, which include Ancient Manuals, skill books and materials.
A new stage of the Age of Wulin Record is added with the expansion, titled “Before the Final Battle”, which contains several events to complete in order to reap the desirable new Class-06 gear. Once completed, players will be able to upgrade their equipment with crafting, challenging the tougher-than-ever Yanmen Pass, competing on the Battlefield, or from the Sects and Factions. Different sets will be available, each with their own specificities and style.
Many improvements for the game’s existing features will be also deployed with “Chapter 5: Heaven’s Ascent”.
