C9 Update: The First Half of 6th Continent is Now Live

May 13, 2014 (Seoul, Korea) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, unleashes the first half of the 6th continent, RAEBIN for the dungeon-based Action MORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9).
Starting May 13, 2014 (Global Server Time), C9 Players will get a level cap increase to 67 and will be able to jump into five new dungeons; Hidden Valley of Wind, Fragment of Kodes, Dying Forest of Eternity, Syutereunen Logging Camp, and Abyssal Underways.
Along with this content update comes the newly revamped skill book system and new unique/normal items for each class of Fighter, Hunter, Shaman, Witchblade, and Mystic.
The newly revamped skill book system will make it much easier for C9 players to acquire skill books from the dungeons in the 4 ~ 6th continents. Players can now combine their skill books with a Cosmos Stone to randomly strengthen their potency for skill book set effects. Also, players can combine two or more books with an Artisan Crystal for a chance to get a different, more powerful skill book.
To celebrate the new update, WEBZEN invites C9 players to a daily PVP quest to acquire event tokens that can then be exchanged for a random item from a gift box including 5th Continent P-rare Skill book, Bless of Badhbh Cath, many different types of Elemental Gem and more.
Furthermore, last week the C9 team announced a list of C9 Guild Tournament Matches for each server. Teams of 4 guild members, who have characters above level 50, will compete against others for a unique all-guild buff! CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9) takes players to the fantasy world of Glenheim, in which they fight against evil forces and gigantic monsters. Utilizing extremely powerful melee, ranged and magical skills, players will battle swarms of evil, demonic forces using FPS style controls in a huge, dungeon-based 3D world. Character archetypes, skills and the combat system in Archlord II

Dublin, Ireland – 8th May, 2014 – WEBZEN, the pioneering free-to-play games developer and publisher, reveals details about character archetypes, skills and combat in Archlord 2.

To provide an engaging and a largely unrestricted environment, Archlord2 introduces an effectively classless character system that will allow players to adopt any role in combat, depending on the type of weapon a player uses.
There are four different types of weapons in Archlord 2, reflecting the number of character archetypes or combat roles available to players. Equipping a weapon of a specific type will give players access to a set of skills that corresponds with a specific archetype. Using weapons of a certain type will build proficiency with that weapon type and allow players to access additional passive and active skills.
In addition to this classless system, Archlord 2 offers an engaging combat system featuring so called chained skills.
Chained skills can only be used in conjunction with each other and only in a fixed order. In combat, they are used as combo attacks. Players will be able to start a combo attack by using the first skill in the chain, and a successful attack will enable next skill to be available for a certain time. With perfect timing and right order of attacks, chained skills will allow players to inflict great damage to the unaware monsters, but most importantly, to other players.

Additionally, WEBZEN confirms that the game will be available in English, German and French language versions. In order to deliver the highest quality, the WEBZEN Dublin localisation team will translate almost 2 million words to support these languages.

C9 Teases the First Half Part of 6th Continent, RAEBIN

April 30, 2014 (Dublin, Ireland) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, has announced the first half part of 6th continent, RAEBIN for the dungeon-based MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9).
This new update marks the first half part of 6th continent, RAEBIN which will include the upcoming announcement of 5 new dungeons; Hidden Valley of Wind, Fragment of Kodes, Dying Forest of Eternity, Syutereunen Logging Camp, and Abyssal Underways.

WEBZEN will also raise the game’s level cap to 67 and implement a new adventure for C9 which unlocks at level 67.
WEBZEN invites to ‘Lucky No7’ 777 EVENT that rewards C9 players with various prizes until May 12, 2014 (Global Server Time). Players can acquire event tokens numbered between 1 to 7 from the monster named “Lucky No7” in expert/master difficulty dungeons from 3rd continent and above. Player is able to get rewards by bringing the 7 tokens of same that they gathered to Event Manager Raleigh.
Meanwhile, C9 team opened online registration for C9 Guild Tournament for unique guild buff item prize on the same day. Any guilds which made of 4 guild members can be formed to represent their guild to fight in this tournament from now through May 5, 2014 (Global Server Time). Archlord II Opens Pre-Registration for Closed Beta

Dublin, Ireland - April 17th, 2014 - WEBZEN, a global leader in free-to-play MMORPGs, shares information about Closed Beta pre-registration for its upcoming dynamic PvP MMO Archlord 2.
Players can now sign up for the Closed Beta Test, simply by using their existing gPotato.eu, gPotato.com or Webzen.com accounts. Additionally, they can register an account using their Facebook profile.
By pre-registering, users will automatically be entered into the Closed Beta lottery and will get a chance to win one of the eagerly awaited keys for the CBT phase that is currently scheduled to begin in June.
The sign up process is extremely simple. Potential participants can pre-register their account on the game?s official website at http://archlord2.com. WEBZEN.com Celebrates 5th Anniversary of Global Game Portal

April 9, 2014 (Dublin, Ireland) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, has announced their 5 th anniversary event celebrating 5 years since the launch of its global game portal site WEBZEN.com.
Since 2009, WEBZEN.com has published multiple free-to-play online game genres including the games MU ONLINE, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9) to worldwide gamers with multi-language service support. The upcoming dynamic PvP MMO, Archlord 2 will be available for download and play through WEBZEN.com in summer 2014.
To celebrate their 5 th anniversary, WEBZEN has teamed up with C9’s media partners for a special item giveaway for the dungeon-based MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9). To level up faster, C9 will be offering a Level 20 Character Boost to all gamers. Create a new character and you will be able to use your Level 20 Character Boost to race through the ranks. This sets players up with a high level character from the very beginning. When your character reaches level 20, you will be able to instantly “jump” your character to Level 50 as part of this promotion.
From now until April 21, 2014 (Global Server Time), users can visit any of C9’s media partners to obtain a special item key. Players can then redeem this code for their Level 20 Character Boost, which includes 10 Resurrection Scrolls, 5 Extreme Training Potions (100%)[1hour], 1 Wing [1 Day], 1 Extreme Potion Package and 5 Leona’s Potions.
Additionally, WEBZEN has just launched new in-game events that will reward players with prizes for participating in Attendance Events and Easter Egg Events.
From now through to May 13, daily quests will be given to receive an Event Coin Chest that contains a random amount of Attendance Event Coins. Players can exchange these coins for a variety of items.
Along with the Easter celebrations, there will be event monsters on every continent that will drop Event Coins. Players can gather these Event Coins to exchange for Event Chests that contain random rewards from now through to April 29.
