WEBZEN teases the Closed Beta Test pre-registration for Archlord II and reveals information about the playable races and game lore

April 4, 2014, (Dublin, Ireland) - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of online games, teases the pre-registration for the Closed Beta Test of the upcoming dynamic PvP MMO Archlord 2 and shares information about the playable races and the game lore.
With the preparations for the summer 2014 game launch, the Archlord 2 team announces that pre-registration for the Closed Beta Test will start in April 2014. To honour the committed Archlord community, Archlord players will get guaranteed access to the Closed Beta phase.
To introduce players to the Archlord 2 universe, WEBZEN provides information about the playable races and the game lore.
In Archlord 2, players will be able to select between two different Factions with one race supporting each Faction at the beginning, and additional races being introduced at a later stage. Even though they are descended from the same ancestors, they have evolved differently through long-standing conflicts with each other. As a result, they are different when it comes to their gameplay mechanics and in-game skills.
Humans are pioneers with an inquisitive and dexterous nature that serves them well in the rough wilderness of Chantra. While they are physically weaker than the Orcs, their agility and their keen minds than make up for it. Cunning and resourceful, the Humans of Chantra are survival specialists. They often fight with Two-handed Swords, One-handed Swords and Shields and use Crossbows and Wands in ranged combat.
Mutilated and distorted by the power of Chaos, the Orcs embody the brutal and savage side of Chantra. They have retained the ways of their ancestors, honouring tradition and physical prowess above everything else. They possess physical strength that should never be underestimated and they attack their enemies with a wild fury. Their weapons of choice are great Axs, Lances and Shields, Bows and Wands.
Being the spiritual successor to Archlord, Archlord 2 is set in a parallel universe after the fall of the first Archlord and chronicles the never-ending conflict that tears apart the world of Chantra. The Archlord was an immortal champion of the gods, tasked with protecting their creation, but he was corrupted by his own power and immortality. Finally, he rose up against the gods themselves and became the “Lord of Chaos”. In order to restore balance, the gods created a new champion and a new guardian species to oppose the forces of evil. After many battles, the Lord of Chaos was finally defeated and cast into the Abyss. Even though the evil had been defeated and banished, the fight was not over. The gods slumbered in their palace, while the Lord of Chaos plotted and schemed in the depths of his infernal prison. Meanwhile, the Archlord and the new species the gods had created began to settle the world of Chantra and established their own unique civilization.
It is from these first settlers of Chantra that the playable races in Archlord 2 are descended.
Archlord II will be available for download and play in summer 2014, and pre-registration for the Closed Beta Test will be available on the official website, http://archlord2.com, in the very near future.

WEBZEN Inc. announces European and North/South American release of Archlord II

18 March 2014, (Dublin, Ireland) - WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of online games, announces the upcoming European and North/South American release of the highly anticipated PvP MMORPG, Archlord II. The game will be available in French, German and English language versions in 2014.
Archlord II is a medieval fantasy-based MMORPG, featuring vibrant in-game graphics and a mesmerizing soundtrack performed by Cris Velasco, the multi-award winning composer for more than 40 video games. This free-to-play title brings MMO fans across Europe and both Americas into a fantasy world shattered by the endless conflict between two opposing factions. Soon, players will be able to enjoy enormous Player vs Player battles, fighting to claim the ultimate prize and to become the Archlord – the world’s supreme ruler.

Wielding powerful summoning and absorbing attacks, this newest advanced class for the WITCHBLADE is now available to all players.
NIGHTSTALKER is a mid-range class that can perform powerful summoning and absorbing attacks. She possesses SUMMON and ABSORB skills, which allow her to summon powerful servants to fight for her during battle and absorb the servants to enhance herself to deal massive damage.
Whenever the NIGHTSTALKER absorbs a servant, players will be able to temporarily gain a powerful and unique skill that each servant has. Her primary weapon is a Chain Blade, which is a two-handed weapon.
To celebrate the long-awaited arrival of the NIGHTSTALKER, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL has just launched an item giveaway for all adventurers to enjoy. Before the Genesis War, Manoa was an earthly paradise. The gods and their worshippers built huge temples and all lived in harmony. The Genesis War changed all that. Akene fell into a deep sleep and the gods who followed her vanished forever. Manoa became a desert and home to the Witchblades. The magic left behind by the gods drew them in and they began to develop their powers from it. The Dabel Priests called them witches and, not long after, began to hunt them down. Those who escaped the Dabel Priests gathered in Manoa, and soon the Witchblades were a force to be reckoned with. One group of Witchblades was particularly affected by the power of darkness granted to Arad, the black dragon. Dark powers so close to purity captivated the young girls, and their anger for the Dabel Priests began to grow. In the end, they focused their fury on summoning the fallen god Magnetic Gravito, exiled into the Netherworld by Akene, and redirected his want for revenge towards the Dabel Priests, laying the groundwork for a new reign of terror. One Dabel priest began to call these Witchblades, who could summon servants from the Nether, Nightstalkers.
