Shot Online's New Update Brings Shot Online World Championship, Guild Agencies a
-
WEBZEN, an operator of online free-to-play games portal GamesCampus, has released an update for Shot Online on European and American servers.
Shot Online is an MMO golf game that brings the world of competitive sports straight to the player. Shot Online is a highly addictive golf simulation with role-playing elements, making it more than just an online sports game. The competitive mechanics and satisfying golf gameplay are what make Shot Online the addictive game it is, featuring community interaction, competitive tournaments and character progression alongside unique club attributes and enhancements.
With this new update, the Shot Online World Championship (SOWC) gives golfers the opportunity to show their skills to the worldwide Shot Online community. The SOWC allows them to play 1v1 matches against players from other Shot Online servers. The current Shot Online servers are: Korea, Japan, USA/Global, Spain, France and Germany.
The 1v1 matches do not require that both players be online at the same time. Players record a 1v1 round, known as their "Qualification Round" and then players from other servers will play live 1v1 SOWC matches against those Qualification Rounds. When they play their own SOWC matches, they will be playing against a recording of another player's Qualification Round.
To participate in the SOWC, you must be level 120 or higher and have the title of National Pro I or higher. The SOWC is run over an entire week, 3 times per month. After the 3 weeks of match play, rewards will be provided to players according to their monthly ranking.
In addition to this new system, the update includes Guild Missions; weekly quests consisting of 10 stages, which must be completed alternately by either 2, 3, or 4 guild members. For the successful completion of Guild Missions, players receive so-called "contribution points". Each guild member can earn up to 100 contribution points per week for their guild.
Players also can check out Guild Agencies, new "Sections" of a guild, which can be leveled separately through the spending of contribution points by guild members. There are 4 of these agencies: G.H.P. Team, Mode Reinforcement Team, Hard Course Reinforcement Team, and Product Development Team. Each agency contributes to the guild with specific bonuses for different areas.
Full features of the latest update and in-game events for Shot Online are now available on the official Shot Online website.
