MU Origin Update Introduces Companion System and Holiday-Themed Events

WEBZEN today launched the latest content update for its real-time mobile MMORPG, MU Origin.
The newest update, titled "Companion and Wings", is the second part of the major patch released last November, which brought the long-awaited Magic Knight class. The update features new additions to the game, such as the Companion System, Roch and Griffin Souls, and increased wing tiers.
The brand-new Companion System allows a player to form a companionship with another. Players can then grow and gain strength together in a variety of new activities, receive Companion Buffs and take on the Companion Dungeon. Players can form a companionship with any of the classes currently available, which are Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, Elf, and Magic Knight.
The new Roch and Griffin Souls enable a player with tier 6 wings or above to unlock their wings' potential, enhancing them even further. With wings now being upgradable up to tier 12, players have even more reason to take advantage of the new system and increase their Combat Power. Along with the above additions comes Transmutation, a new feature that will allow players to enhance their tier 10 equipment to even greater heights. Transcending the tiers normally available, tier 11 equipment can now be crafted.
Players who log in and play from December 20th to December 31st will receive the following items as a gift: Epic Pet Ticket x3, Condor's Flame x10, Condor's Feather x20, Rainbow Feather x3, and Gold Spark x1.
Starting from now, players will also be able to experience holiday-themed events, such as daily giveaways and special events. Players can collect many holiday-themed items through various activities in-game and exchange them for rewards. MU Origin is available for free in the App Store and Google Play.

CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL's December Update Goes Live Tomorrow

WEBZEN has announced that the latest update for its dungeon-based action MORPG CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9) goes live tomorrow.
The biggest addition is Chaos Spire, a new Extreme raid dungeon providing players with the toughest and most exciting challenge in all of Glenheim.
Chaos Spire is a special raid dungeon for 6 players. This will not only be the most difficult dungeon, it will also offer unique features and rewards. Raebin explorers have conquered most places on the 6th continent, but the greatest dangers are still ahead. This dungeon is not Master, Hell, or Nightmare difficulty, but an EXTREME dungeon in Raebin.
With Chaos Spire, players will face 3 very powerful boss monsters. 3 Narak monsters await players in the first boss room. Mounting a frontal attack on them would not be the best idea; it would be easier to defeat them by using Dragon Statues.
Once players defeat the Narak monsters, they will find many Kaligos in the second area. It is here players will also meet the manipulator of the Kaligos: Heike. An air of mystery still surrounds the final boss. Players will be faced with the strongest enemy they've ever seen.
With this update, C9 actionists will be tasked with defeating the monsters in Chaos Spire, and will have a chance to obtain special rewards, including a new effect-change or buff/debuff Skill Book, a Sealed Book of Chaos, Master-graded accessories with set effects and more.
The C9 team will also be celebrating this release with special daily events. Players can receive an additional EXP buff (200%), artisan EXP buff (200%), guild points (100%), increased dungeon clear rewards, invitation tickets to the Extreme dungeon, useful potions and much more. Plus, players will receive a rewards box which may contain precious auspice items and Holiday Remodelling Weapons simply by entering Chaos Spire. The event will be running until the weekly maintenance on January 3rd, 2017 (UTC).

WEBZEN CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH EVENTS AND GIFTS

WEBZEN announced today that the entire game portal will be celebrating the holiday season with 3 special events.
From today through to January 3rd, 2017 (UTC), the entire webzen.com portal will be celebrating the holiday season with all players. The WEBZEN team will be organizing cool in-game events and special offers.
MU Online will have a holiday season event where players can get items just for winter, such as a snowman ring and a Rudolph pet. Players can visit Santa Village to get special buffs for free. Interested players can also check out the new features of its latest content update, MU: Season 11, Part 2.
Flyff also has plenty of events active for the holiday season, with many great in-game rewards. Flyff recently opened the new server "Meteonyker", providing another choice for English speakers all across Europe.
Rappelz will see the return of a player-favorite event this holiday season: Santa's Present Event. Players can benefit from great bonuses during its duration.

WEBZEN Releases Infographic of MU Legend CBT Success

WEBZEN has today proudly released the stats of its first CBT in the form of an infographic showing off insights into players' choices. Now that the initial test is over, WEBZEN has started preparations for the second global CBT, with dates soon to be announced.
- Combined time spent in game: 154 years or 4,854,946,057 seconds

WEBZEN plans to run a second global test in 2017, and has also confirmed plans to work on additional localizations of the game (French, German, Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish and Polish) in order to satisfy the high expectations of its global communities after the two global tests.

New FLYFF Server “Meteonyker” now live on European client

WEBZEN has announced that the new European server “Meteonyker” for the Manga & Anime MMO Game FLYFF ? Fly For Fun has successfully been opened to the public today.
FLYFF is a high-flying fantasy RPG with over 60 million registered accounts worldwide. The new sever is based in Frankfurt and will increase the server choice for English-speakers all across Europe.
Although Meteonyker is the second European server, it's also the first of its kind: all characters logging into the server will be granted free cosmetic items, including one of the most popular and most-requested cloaks of all time, the “Skeleton Devil’s Cloak”, which boosts a multitude of stats and so ensures that every character is well-prepared to embark on a new adventure.
Today, GMs will also meet players in-game to celebrate the launch, set up cheap-item shops, and answer players’ questions!
