E3 2012 WEBZEN Press Event Streamed Live from Los Angeles

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced they will hold a press event in Los Angeles, U.S.A. during E3 2012 game show.
Today, WEBZEN announced they will be holding a press event on June 6th, 2012 in Los Angeles during the E3 2012 game show. Many global users and press will be invited to experience the excitement. Also, viewers around the world will be able to watch the event through the official live streaming website (event.webzen.com/e3livestream).
During the event, C9 will hold the '2012 C9 Championship Tournament’ finals where the top two qualifying teams (NA Team: ‘Gears Executor’, EU Team: ‘Pony Club’) will face off for the $10,000 grand prize. Also, a new class for ‘C9’, the ‘Witchblade’, will be revealed for visitors to play.
Additionally, the global version of ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’ will be shown for the first time with a never before seen trailer. Here special edition beta keys will be given out to a limited amount of visitors. Both titles will have a media Q&A session with the producers and designers.
Jihun Lee, Head of Global Publishing, said, “‘We are very excited to hold this event to have a chance to interact with global users and press during the E3 period.” Also he said, “We hope global users will be able to feel the excitement through live stream.”
Meanwhile, the onsite event will be a private event where only visitors and press who have been invited in advance will be able to participate.

Who will be the Most Powerful Guild to Rule ARCHLORD?

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the start of the first ‘World Guild Championship’ for the MMORPG ‘ARCHLORD’.
Today, WEBZEN opened the pre-registration page for the ‘World Guild Championship’ that will begin on June 11, 2012 with a grand prize of $10,000 (USD) and rewards including new unrevealed unique items.
The ‘World Guild Championship’ will allow all participants to battle with each other between different servers using a preset character equipped with the same armor and weapons. Being under this same condition, guilds will need cooperation with each other to build strategies and show their PvP skills to win the grand prize.
To register for the tournament, guild masters and their members must complete an in-game quest. The registration will continue until May 30th through the official ARCHLORD website (archlord.webzen.com).
On June 4th, the tournament bracket will be announced where participants will be able to see who their opponents will be. WEBZEN plans to set the bracket to have world versus world matches which will add more excitement to the tournament.

2012 ‘C9’ Championship Tournament Begins with the Final CBT

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the final closed beta test for the Action RPG ‘C9 (Continent of the Ninth Seal)’ where the online tournament of the ‘2012 C9 Championship Tournament’ will begin.
From May 17th to the 31st, WEBZEN will open the final closed beta test for ‘C9’ where the online tournament for the ‘2012 Championship Tournament’ will take place. The top 2 qualifying teams will be determined to head off to the finals in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
The online tournament will finish up to the semi-finals, and on June 6th the final top 2 teams will compete at Los Angeles, U.S.A. for the $10,000 (USD) grand prize. WEBZEN will provide the final’s live footage through live stream on the official C9 website (c9.webzen.com).
The registration for the tournament had finished last May 10th through the official homepage and 32 teams have been selected for the seeding. Among the participants, there are experienced e-sports and online game clans that will add more competition to the tournament.
Also, WEBZEN is inviting 30 users to participate in the final match held in Los Angeles. The registration for this invitation can be entered through the official C9 Facebook page (www.facebook.com/C9Webzen).
Meanwhile, during the final closed beta test, a new character ‘Berserker’ will be revealed. As an advanced class of the fighter, the ‘Berserker’ has the most powerful physical attack power using its two handed sword. Users who participated in the Tournament Registration Test last April will be able to continuously play where they left off without creating a new character or enjoy the newly revealed ‘Berserker’.

The Legend Continues with the MU:eX700 User Beta Test

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the start of the open beta test for MU:eX700, an expansion update for one of their famous titles, MU Online.
Today, WEBZEN has opened the MU:eX700 beta test to users for a week until May 17th. To participate in the beta test users must possess a “Gold Channel Ticket” in MU Online. During the test, all players will be able to enjoy the test from level 600.
After any changes made from user feedback during the test, MU:eX700 update will officially launch on May 31st, one week after the open beta test. At this time, the global PVP tournament will receive registrations until the end of June. Winners and participants will have a chance to win cash items worth a total of $15,000 (USD).

The ‘2012 C9 Championship Tournament’ is One Step Closer to $10,000

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the finale of the Tournament Registration Test for their Action RPG ‘C9 (Continent of the Ninth Seal)’ and has begun preparation for the first Global PVP Tournament.
Last May 6th, the C9 Tournament Registration Test had come to an end after a month of non-stop action. To continue action, registration for the online tournament has started and will continue until May 9th (PDT).
The online tournament that starts on May 16th (PDT) will determine the final top 2 qualifying teams that will head on to Los Angeles, U.S.A. where the first official offline tournament finals will be held. Only one team will be victorious and win a grand prize of $10,000 (USD).
Currently among the registrations, there are many teams with diverse backgrounds. Some have experience in other competitive tournaments, while others are e-sports teams from ESL, or guilds from other well-known MMORPGs, masters of action games, and more. However, all have one thing in common; the goal to win the final grand prize.
