WEBZEN ‘C9’ Marks the Grand Finale of its VIP Test

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, has successfully finished their first VIP Test for ‘C9’ (Continent of the Ninth Seal) and takes one step closer to its official launch.
On February 28th, WEBZEN closed the test server for the VIP Test that started last February 4th. To end the VIP Test, an event took place where the VIP testers and GMs gathered around to say goodbye. With satisfactory results and various feedbacks from the VIP testers, WEBZEN has a better view of localization and what the users want.
With a limited 10,000 VIP Testers and about 10 times more of whom were eager to join the VIP Test visited C9’s official website and Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/C9Webzen) to express their excitement and anticipation.
For this VIP Test of C9, 3 of the 9 continents were introduced along with 3 playable characters the Fighter, Hunter, and Shaman with their advancement classes. Another main feature, the PVP system, was introduced later in the VIP Test with its ‘Arena’ and unique ‘Intrusion’ system, allowing users to test their precise control against other users.
Testers expressed their thoughts about C9 through their feedback, where many testers mentioned they could actually feel the action and perform infinite skill combos which are some of C9’s key features. Also, other comments and suggestions were about the localization of C9.
Jihun Lee, Head of Global Publishing, said, “With the results and valuable feedbacks from the VIP Test, we will be able to improve the localization of C9.” Also he said, “We will focus on localization and development to bring the service of C9 global as soon as this summer with a possibility of additional tests in between.”
Meanwhile, WEBZEN will attend the 2012 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, USA, starting from March 7th to the 9th giving visitors a chance to play ‘C9’ and their new FPS title ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’.

WEBZEN Reveals Upcoming Titles at 2012 GDC

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, is participating in the 2012 Game Developers Conference (GDC) held in San Francisco, U.S.A, to announce their unrevealed titles to the public.
Today, WEBZEN announced they will be participating GDC to reveal their upcoming FPS game ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’ and Action RPG ‘C9’, where visitors and media will have a chance to play their upcoming games first hand with the guidance of WEBZEN assistants.
The new modern military FPS game, ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’, will be revealed for the first time. ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’ takes place in the near future where a war has risen between the ‘RSA’ and ‘AF’. Both forces conflict over natural resources in the arctic region that leads to World War III. Realistic graphics are presented with the Unreal Engine 2.5, while the game play is distinctive with its strategic and tactical contents such as ‘Helicopter Support’, ‘Bombardment’, and ‘Flamethrowers”.
Along with ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’, the award winning ‘C9’ will be demonstrated. ‘C9’ has won 5 awards, including the grand prize, at the 2009 Korea Game Awards, one of South Korea’s most prestige game ceremonies. Also, ‘C9’s fame has been spread to China and Japan. It is well known to gamers for its action packed game play and unlimited skill combos. The first global VIP Test for ‘C9’ is currently underway through their global game portal, WEBZEN.com, and will continue until February 29th.

New VIP Testers Will Have the Chance For C9 PvP Action

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the secondary invites for VIP testers and the PvP content update for their Unrivaled Action RPG, ‘C9’ (Continent of the Ninth Seal).
Today, WEBZEN invited their new VIP testers to meet the demands of many users. Although the VIP Test was originally designed as a limited test, a massive amount of users had applied; therefore requiring additional channels to be added. Still due to the continuous requests, WEBZEN decided to invite an additional 2,000 testers from the VIP wait list, those who were not so lucky the first time. Also, additional new testers were chosen from highly active users on C9’s SNS sites, including the official C9 Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/C9Webzen).
With these secondary invitations, WEBZEN has updated the anticipated PVP contents which include the ‘Intrusion’ and ‘Arena’ system. The ‘Intrusion’ system allows users to intrude dungeons being played by other users. Whoever prevails will own the dungeon and receive a token that can be exchanged into valuable items. The ‘Arena’ holds C9’s main competitive feature that new and previous VIP testers can enjoy.

Jump Start with Fully-Geared High-Leveled Characters

WEBZEN Inc., (www.webzen.com), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced a massive portal promotion. This promotion includes highly beneficial events for the titles serviced by WEBZEN.com.
The portal promotion, “Skip the Low, Jump to High”, will continue for 1 month from February 15th to March 14th. During the event period, free high-level characters and items will be given away to users who create a character for MU, ARCHLORD, and Soul of the Ultimate Nation.
MU Online, one of the world’s most famous MMORPGs, offers all players free level 220 characters along with +9 reinforced weapons and armor. Another successful PvP MMORPG, ARCHLORD gives away all players with free level 60 characters that are fully-geared with weapon and armor. Lastly, Soul of the Ultimate Nation offers level 90 characters with full gear and level up boxes that contain various items.
Meanwhile, during the promotion period, each and all games will hold various in-game events, including the daily attendance event, which gives valuable items to the users. Also the experience boost for MU Online will be doubled and Soul of the Ultimate Nation will be opening a new server, “Priden”.

[WEBZEN] ARCTIC COMBAT is here with a New Global Trailer

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced their first global teaser trailer for ARCTIC COMBAT dynamic modern military online FPS game, which is being prepared for global service in this year.
Today, WEBZEN revealed their updated official site (http://ac.webzen.com/) with the new trailer, raising excitement between the fans of the ARCTIC COMBAT official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ArcticCombat), where the latest updates are found. This newly released trailer shows in-game features such as main firearms and types of new weaponry. It also shows strategic fire support, such as 'helicopter support' and 'bombardment', and tactical assets such as flamethrowers, UAVs, and rocket launchers.
ARCTIC COMBAT is based on a story of national conflict between two forces, the 'AF’ and 'RSA’, caused by a resource disputation in the arctic territory. The conflict between the AF, led by USA, and RSA, led by Russia, resulted in the world being divided into two. The world was headed into annihilation which could only be called as the beginning of World War III.
In ARCTIC COMBAT, the optimized game engine allows low specification users to play while keeping the realistic effects a high, such as corpse damage gore mode, which makes players more immersed and think they are actually on the modern warfare battleground. Also the modern weapons and real life like maps adds to the excitement.
