WEBZEN’s MU-based Webtoon ‘Slave B' Launches on the KAKAO WEBTOON Th

WEBZEN announces that its webtoon ‘Slave B’ has arrived in Thailand along with the launch of ‘KAKAO WEBTOON Thailand’.
Written by a well renowned Korean webtoon artist and author Lim-ins, who also wrote the famous webtoon ‘Let's Fight Ghosts’, ‘Slave B’ is a popular webtoon which is based on the story and lore of MU Online, WEBZEN’s popular PC MMORPG.
Set in the most brutal environment of high school, Slave B tells the story of ‘Niro’ who is a half-elf, half-human boy adopted by slaves. To overcome his social status, he begins to follow in the footsteps of King Muren, who also used to be a slave, by enrolling in the Excanum school and that is where his adventure begins as he starts to experience more of the world.
Teamed up with STUDIO SANTA CLAUS ENTERTAINMENT, an actor-based entertainment company and producer of movies, television dramas, original soundtrack music, etc., WEBZEN has published their game-based webtoon through the KAKAO WEBTOON platform and expanded its IP (Intellectual Property) franchise business into the global webtoon industry.
The Korean webtoon series Slave B has already proven popular in the regions where it is currently available, having racked up to 80 million views globally so far. In Korea, China and France, the series is available on webtoon platforms KakaoPage, Tencent Dongman and Delitoon, respectively.
Slave B Season 1 is a 50-episode webtoon series. Along with the launch of the series, there are 30 episodes available, and viewers can view the first 10 episodes for free. MU Archangel gets settled in the Southeast Asian market

WEBZEN announced that its new mobile MMORPG MU Archangel has ranked in top 10 highest-grossing mobile games on Google Play Store in Thailand and the Philippines.
Continuing the legacy of Webzen’s best-known title, MU Online - the original PC classic MMORPG which was launched in 2001, Webzen brought MU Archangel, a mobile spin-off that provides classic MU elements that fans of the franchise all know and love, to the Southeast Asian gamers on May 13th, 2021.
Prior to the SEA launch, MU Archangel had already proven to be the best game as it continues to maintain top ranks in both popular and grossing charts on Google Play Store and App Store for many months in all servicing countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Since MU Archangel was launched in Southeast Asian countries on May 13th, MU Archangel has been in the list of most downloaded role-playing games in the main SEA markets. Especially in the Philippines, the game has become the best free app on Google Play Store as of today, May 26th.
In addition to downloads, MU Archangel ranked eighth on the Google Play Store sales ranking in Thailand on May 21st and eighth on the Google Play Store sales ranking in the Philippines on May 23rd.
Along with reaching high rankings in charts, Webzen has added extra servers up to 39 servers in total to accommodate the increasing number of users. MU Archangel launches the Castle Siege video contest to seek out the best guild,

WEBZEN announced that its new mobile MMORPG MU Archangel has become one of the most popular role-playing games on Google Play Store in Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.
MU Archangel follows in the footsteps of Webzen’s MU Online, the original PC classic MMORPG, and is essentially a mobile spin-off that provides classic MU elements that fans of the franchise all know and love.
Continuing the legacy of the Archangel weapon, MU Archangel lets players choose from three distinct classes - Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, or Elf. Long-time fans of the franchise can relive the adventure from the glory days of MU Online with classic contents such as Blood Castle, Devil Square, and Chaos Castle, while those looking for something fresh and exciting can enjoy the all-new dungeons added to the mobile game.
After MU Archangel was launched in Southeast Asian countries on May 13, MU Archangel has topped the RPG genre download chart for Android (as of May 20), and additional servers have been set up in the game. MU Archangel is now available for download on the Google Play Store and App Store for free, in English, Thai and Chinese.
Since the launch of the game, the MU Archangel team has been running various in-game events and promotions, including the Server BOSS First Kill Event, and the Hall of Fame Ranking Event, as well as extra rewards such as a daily login bonus, and Happy Hour rewards.
In the official MU Archangel Facebook fan page, various community events offering a chance to get free in-game rewards are waiting for all the warriors of MU Archangel. First, 100 randomly selected winners who share their gameplay tips and tricks in the comment section will receive in-game rewards including Jewel of Moonlight, Jewel of Evolution, and Attack Stone, and the event will be running until May 23.
Starting from today, a new video contest to show off the Castle Siege battle with guild members is running until May 30. To join this event, players are required to upload their gameplay video with certain hashtags on their social media, and then go to the Customer Support to input required information. The Seven winners of guilds from all servers will be announced on June 7, and event rewards include Super Star Title, Jewel of Life, Attack Stone, and Defense Stone.

MU ORIGIN 2’s Latest Update Adds New Class Change System and Ancient Tower

WEBZEN released today the latest 5.2 update of its mobile MMORPG MU ORIGIN 2.
MU ORIGIN 2’s 5.2 update brings the long-awaited Class Change system which enables the change to a desired class. For example, players will be able to choose to be a fierce knight or a majestic mage by using the Chest of Gospels item or Diamonds.
The main feature of this update is the new Ancient Tower where players can explore and acquire items to enhance their Ancient Relic and Ancient Seals. More than 2 players in party mode are required to enter the Ancient Tower only once per day. The Ancient Tower is available to enter daily from 10 AM until 11PM (server time).
In the update, new features of the character upgrade system have been introduced, allowing players to continue to increase their CP (Combat Power) through Divine Feather, Void Record and Costume Evolution.
Divine Feather allows players to reach the full potential of their wings through enhancement. When players enhance their Divine Feather, they can gain additional elemental effects and buffs in accordance with the level and tier.
When reaching lv. 210, players will also have a new mission to defeat monsters and collect their souls in the Void Record which is divided into Rare, Unique and Epic graded fragments. The activated Void Record will allow the set effect depending on the level.
In addition, the new Costume Evolution system has been added to the game. Players can now evolve their costumes by combining three of the same type of costume to obtain extra powers.
Furthermore, a level-cap increase to Master IX (Lv. 1299), new maps, several tweaks, optimizations, and bug fixes are now available in MU ORIGIN 2.

MU Archangel is out now for Android and iOS in Southeast Asia

MU Archangel is a new mobile MMORPG and a spin-off of the original MMORPG MU Online that provides classic MU elements that fans of the franchise all know and love, such as Devil Square, Blood Castle, World BOSS, Ancient Battlefield and much more.
Following the huge success of the previous launch in South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, MU Archangel is out now in Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. MU Archangel is now available for download on the Google Play Store and App Store for free, in English, Thai and Chinese.
There are three playable classes - Dark Knight, Dark Wizard and Elf, and players can also choose the gender of the Dark Wizard (male or female) class. After character creation, MU Archangel will allow players to take advantage of a free-to-play game and earn extra EXP and tons of other rewards through various daily quests and farming available in the game.
