WEBZEN introduces Shot Online: Golf Battle, available to pre-register for both A

WEBZEN has announced that its upcoming mobile golf game Shot Online: Golf Battle is now available for pre-registration in the United States.
Developed by WEBZEN ONNET in celebration of the 17th anniversary of the PC golf MMO, Shot Online, Shot Online: Golf Battle is a new spin-off of the Shot Online series which has been enjoyed by countless players all over the world for more than a decade.
Shot Online: Golf Battle features real-time golf battles that happen without waiting for the opponent to take their shot. Players will be quickly matched against the best golfers around the world at any time so that they can enjoy a parallel golf battle.
With a unique match mode, Survival Mode, players will be able to challenge top golf players in a clash to become the king of the golf world. Starting with 7 other players, the last survivor will get the biggest and best prizes. Through rounds of golf with 8 players, the game will get more and more intense, and the different rules for each match will bring excitement to the competition.
The game also allows players to make their own clan or join other clans to battle with their clanmates and have a chance to become the best clan in Shot Online: Golf Battle. In addition, amazing golf courses and extreme club effects will be available in the game.
Shot Online: Golf Battle for iOS and Android is set to soft launch in United State first in early August before coming to other regions. In the meantime, fans of the Shot Online or golf enthusiasts can pre-register now on the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android, and those who pre-register will get special benefits upon the release. MU Origin’s latest 16.0 update adds Halidom and Artifact

WEBZEN announced that its mobile MMORPG MU Origin released its latest 16.0 update.
First, the newest feature to arrive in MU Origin is the Halidom system which can be equipped on a character’s shoulders to increase their Combat Power. The Halidom will be unlocked after reaching Rebirth 10 Lv. 100 and can be obtained from Holy Treasure, which is available for free once a day or by using unbound Diamonds.
There is one main slot and five sub-slots for Halidom, which consists of 3 grades: Rare, Epic and Legend. In addition to the equipment, players will be able to enhance and level up the item to increase their stats along with the option of the Halidom.
Furthermore, players will be able to continue to increase their character’s Attack DMG and DEF with the new Artifact, which can be enhanced using Soul Emblem. When the Artifact reaches a certain level, Soul Flame will be required to enhance Soul Torch.
With this update, Holy Gear, which is specialized for PVP battle, has been added to the game. Holy Gear has 4 types: HP, DEF, DMG, and Thunder, and each Holy Gear also has 4 skills available to use in strategic battles.
Following a previous Hero feature, new Hero-based features such as Hero Statue and Shrine War have been included in the update. Players will be able to enhance their Hero by evolving the Hero Statue which can be acquired by defeating enemies in the sacred battlefield, Shrine War.
Additionally, several tweaks, optimizations, bug fixes, and daily login rewards are now available in MU Origin.

MU Archangel’s first update introduces Chrysos World Server

WEBZEN announced that the first content update of its mobile MMORPG MU Archangel goes live today with a new update trailer.
MU Archangel is a mobile spin-off of the classic PC MMORPG ‘MU Online’ which debuted back in 2001, packed with the nostalgic feel of the original game and more convenient gameplay fit for mobile devices.
After the game's launch in Southeast Asian countries in May, the first update brings the Chrysos World Server, one of the game’s core pillars of gameplay that allows many players to enjoy the thrill of raids and gather Sacraments such as Blue Orb and Blue Crown with other servers.
The Chrysos World Server is a cross-server battlefield which is designed to serve as a central hub for players to participate in raids for Elite Monsters named ‘Bone Scorpion’ which appear randomly in the Chrysos World Server map. In addition, BOSS monsters appear on the Chrysos World Server map every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 05:00 of the next day. When BOSS and Elite Monsters are defeated, players can obtain various rare items such as Wing and Pet combination materials.
The update introduces new secret dungeons titled ‘Kundun’s Seal’ which consist of a Silver Dungeon and a Gold Dungeon where players can earn rare items and EXP in accordance with the required level. When a player’s character reaches level 400 for the first time in each server, the secret dungeon will open at 05:00 the following day.
The update also brings the new Potential System to boost the upgrade options of Tier 3 or higher Godly Equipment by using Potential Stones obtained from the dungeons of Kundun’s Seal. When a Potential Option reaches level 4, the Legendary Option will be unlocked to increase the character’s power.

WEBZEN’s MU-based Webtoon ‘Slave B' Launches on the KAKAO WEBTOON Th

WEBZEN announces that its webtoon ‘Slave B’ has arrived in Thailand along with the launch of ‘KAKAO WEBTOON Thailand’.
Written by a well renowned Korean webtoon artist and author Lim-ins, who also wrote the famous webtoon ‘Let's Fight Ghosts’, ‘Slave B’ is a popular webtoon which is based on the story and lore of MU Online, WEBZEN’s popular PC MMORPG.
Set in the most brutal environment of high school, Slave B tells the story of ‘Niro’ who is a half-elf, half-human boy adopted by slaves. To overcome his social status, he begins to follow in the footsteps of King Muren, who also used to be a slave, by enrolling in the Excanum school and that is where his adventure begins as he starts to experience more of the world.
Teamed up with STUDIO SANTA CLAUS ENTERTAINMENT, an actor-based entertainment company and producer of movies, television dramas, original soundtrack music, etc., WEBZEN has published their game-based webtoon through the KAKAO WEBTOON platform and expanded its IP (Intellectual Property) franchise business into the global webtoon industry.
The Korean webtoon series Slave B has already proven popular in the regions where it is currently available, having racked up to 80 million views globally so far. In Korea, China and France, the series is available on webtoon platforms KakaoPage, Tencent Dongman and Delitoon, respectively.
Slave B Season 1 is a 50-episode webtoon series. Along with the launch of the series, there are 30 episodes available, and viewers can view the first 10 episodes for free. MU Archangel gets settled in the Southeast Asian market

WEBZEN announced that its new mobile MMORPG MU Archangel has ranked in top 10 highest-grossing mobile games on Google Play Store in Thailand and the Philippines.
Continuing the legacy of Webzen’s best-known title, MU Online - the original PC classic MMORPG which was launched in 2001, Webzen brought MU Archangel, a mobile spin-off that provides classic MU elements that fans of the franchise all know and love, to the Southeast Asian gamers on May 13th, 2021.
Prior to the SEA launch, MU Archangel had already proven to be the best game as it continues to maintain top ranks in both popular and grossing charts on Google Play Store and App Store for many months in all servicing countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Since MU Archangel was launched in Southeast Asian countries on May 13th, MU Archangel has been in the list of most downloaded role-playing games in the main SEA markets. Especially in the Philippines, the game has become the best free app on Google Play Store as of today, May 26th.
In addition to downloads, MU Archangel ranked eighth on the Google Play Store sales ranking in Thailand on May 21st and eighth on the Google Play Store sales ranking in the Philippines on May 23rd.
