Webzen’s annual summer event kicked off today on Webzen.com

WEBZEN launched today the summer-themed event on its global game portal site Webzen.com.
From today to August 6th, Webzen will be running various summer events for all Webzen games, including MU Legend, MU Online, Rappelz, Flyff and Continent of the Ninth Seal (C9) on the official website: http://www.webzen.com/events/summer-fest-19
Players can reap benefits such as more loot and gold, additional EXP, free items, daily login rewards, top-up bonuses or extra rewards.
With the daily log-in event, Webzen will make every day a joyous one with lots of daily gifts. In addition to daily giveaways, players will be able to get extra rewards for 3, 7 and 10 days of attendance. With this Summer Fest, players have the chance to get up to a 30% bonus on Wcoin. The top-up bonus will be available for the entire two weeks of the Summer Fest. Also, players get something extra when they spend or purchase items in-game: every Wcoin/Redzen spent during this period will earn you 1 Purchase Token. Once a player has gathered enough Purchase Tokens, they will be able to exchange them for Summer Packs, including the Freebie Pack, Beginner Pack, Novice Pack, Advanced Pack, or Master Pack. Summer Packs contain multiple cool items within each of Webzen’s respective games.
Additionally, Webzen has partnered up with various MMORPG websites to give out summer packs to their readers and game communities. Starting from today, players can visit any of the media websites to obtain a special coupon code. Players can first select a Webzen game among the participating games and then receive a code granting a free item pack for the selected game. Each code is limited to a one-time use per account and can be used with only one of the following Webzen games: MU Legend, MU Online, Rappelz, Flyff and C9.

MU Origin 2 Content Update for Patch v1.3 Adds Guild Sacred Creature

WEBZEN released today the latest 1.3 update of its mobile MMORPG MU Origin 2.
Following the official launch of MU Origin 2’s global version on May 28th, this 1.3 patch brings the new Guild Sacred Creature to MU Origin 2 which will allow players to get even stronger by joining a guild and leveling up their sacred creatures’ skills. These 4 different Guild Sacred Creatures will be unlocked depending on the level of the guild and give all guild members a passive buff that boosts their stats permanently.
A new costume feature is now available for users to customize the appearance of their character with unique looks and is unlockable after reaching level 190 and completing the Two Bits of News quest. From outfits to weapons, wings to artifacts, each costume has its own specific option. When equipped, the option is applied to the character, making them stand out among others.
With the new Aether system, Aether will be unlocked after the character has reached level 280. To summon Aether, players will need to collect Aether dust in the Guardian Pet Ruin, granting their character new combat properties.
Two new Guardian pets, Shadow of Utter Darkness and Eagle Fairy are now ready to accompany players into combat, and two Mount skins, Xanthos and Balios are now available in the game.
This 1.3 update also includes a level-cap increase, a new Master level advancement, and additional floors in the Infinite Tower. With the Master level advancement, two new maps, La Cleon and Swamp of Peace, have been added to the game along with new field monsters and elite boss monsters.
MU ORIGIN 2 is available for free download on the Google Play Store and App Store in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

MU Origin’s v9.0 content update “Devilish Treasure” is now live

WEBZEN released today the latest 9.0 update of its real-time mobile MMORPG MU Origin.
This 9.0 update brings to MU Origin the new PvP Clan battle ‘Devilish Treasure’, Clan Battle Royal, Clan Chase, Clan Pet, Demonic Hallow, and much more.
Devilish Treasure is an all-server, real-time five-round PvP Clan battle where new challenges await all players to get the best treasure. Devilish Treasure takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 21:30 to 22:00.
The MU Origin 9.0 update also adds Clan Battle Royal, an all-server PvP content where Clans fight each other to become the last Clan standing, running every Monday and Thursday at the same time. Following Clan Battle Royal Rules, up to 3 Clans can be matched in the Clan Battle Royal with 4 phases - Entry, Peace, Battle, and Demonic. During the Battle phase, players will be switched to PvP mode and can attack the opposing Clan. The Battle Royal ends when only 1 Clan remains, earning the victor both Season rewards and daily rewards such as Individual first victory, Victory rewards, Participation rewards, and the Exclusive Warrior Emblem accessory.
In addition to Clan Battle Royal mode, a lot of Clan-based content such as Clan Chase, Clan Pet, Hall of Clan and Clan Activity Points have been newly added to the game. Furthermore, Demonic Hallow allows players to strengthen their Reverse options once they have completed the main quest Ancient Legend at Rebirth 10. Demonic Hallow lets users upgrade Demonic Horn, Demonic Feather, and Demonic Eye, by 20 tiers and 200 Star Grades in order to overpower their enemies.

Historical strategy game FIRST HERO is out now for iOS and Android

WEBZEN announced today the official launch of its new mobile strategy game, FIRST HERO in the US, Europe and Southern Asia.
FIRST HERO is a strategy game for the Android and iOS mobile platform, filled with history’s greatest figures. The aim of the game is to recruit a host of legendary heroes, from George Washington to Genghis Khan, and engage in strategic and epic battles with other players.
Players not only have the ability to upgrade their characters to build up the strength and prowess necessary for conquering their own domain, but are also able to earn Ranking Points through user vs. user and alliance vs. alliance battles to make it to the top for better ranking rewards.
Players can also engage in Boss fights and defeat them with their heroes and troops. Using diverse strategies will assure them a victory against various monsters with different difficulty levels.
Along with the global rollout, the latest version of the game includes a new hero ‘Saladin’, a new raid boss ‘Admiral Skeleton’ and new functions such as Hero Summon Store, Map Style Changes, User interface enhancement and Balance change, thus marking the end of the soft-launching phase.
FIRST HERO is now available for free download in the App Store and Google Play Store, and the game is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Chinese (Traditional). CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL’s Update Adds New Manacrafter Class

WEBZEN announced today the release of its latest content update for the strategic action RPG CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9).
The new content update introduces a new Mystic class, Manacrafter with a new extra class system. Manacrafter is an action-packed female class that slashes enemies with her magic imbued sword. She can attack enemies to charge her Crystal Mana Swords and unleash their power. To unlock the new class, players will need to collect Soulshards while playing various game modes, including the newly added competitive mode.
This update also brings the all-new 4v4 battle mode to compete against other teams. Working together as a team of 4 to defeat the boss monster, each team can unleash major damage down on the boss or use it to interfere with the other team. Only the team who contributed the most damage will win the round and take the prize. Prizes will include the essential material required to create the game’s new Mystic class, Manacrafter.

To celebrate the arrival of the Manacrafter update, the C9 team will be organizing various in-game events running from today until July 8th, 2019 (UTC). The Jumping Event will allow both new and returning players create a new lv. 57 character and receive a Book of Knowledge to reach lv. 63, all packed with additional goods in order to help speed up levelling their character.
In the Costume Extravaganza event, C9 players will have a chance to win fabulous items including Palladium Joker, Sacred Enhance Stone Rank 3, and Rank 8 Protective Crystal for Weapon’s Magic.
