C9 Announces FOURTH EXPANSION and Releases RAHKDAN’S COUNTERATTACK

November 26, 2013 (San Jose, Calif.) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, announces the FOURTH EXPANSION for the dungeon-based MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9), with the release of RAHKDAN’S COUNTERATTACK. This new update will be available to all players starting tomorrow, November 27, 2013, after regular scheduled maintenance (Global Server Time). RAHKDAN’S COUNTERATTACK marks the first part of the game’s massive three-part content update, which will also include the upcoming announcement of a brand new basic class.
Tomorrow’s new patch, RAHKDAN’S COUNTERATTACK, features a server-wide character rebalance, making CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL more thrilling and challenging than ever before. The skill damage for most classes will be updated, as well as the monster difficulty. New quest lines will be added to Okapia and Sarad (the Fourth and Fifth Continents), presenting all players with new missions to complete. In addition, new Epic Items will be dropped from the Second through Sixth Continents.
The FOURTH EXPANSION for C9 will continue with two more installments in the months to come. This includes the long-awaited announcement of a brand new basic class (as well as the addition of a new advanced class), new levels for the Sixth Continent of Raebin and other exciting content. The next two parts of the FOURTH EXPANSION will also include an item giveaway and a new in-game event that rewards players with prizes for participating in an intrusion. WEBZEN Launches New MMORPG ARCHLORD 2 in Korea

October 18, 2013 (Seoul, Korea) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, has just launched the long-awaited MMORPG, ARCHLORD 2 in Korea!
ARCHLORD 2 is a medieval fantasy-based MMORPG, featuring vibrant in-game graphics and a mesmerizing soundtrack performed by Cris Velasco, the multi-award winning composer for more than 40 video games, including God of War and Borderlands.
One of the most appealing features of ARCHLORD 2 is the RvR (Realm vs. Realm) Battles, which span across more than 40 massive battlefields. The Humans of Aimhigh, the Realm of Light, and the Orcs of Demolition, the Realm of Darkness, battle for the ultimate prize – to become the Archlord, the game world’s supreme ruler. Each race has its own unique specialties. New content and additional races will be released in future expansions.
WEBZEN plans to launch ARCHLORD 2 in Europe and North America/South America in 2014. Further details on the launch schedule will be officially announced in the near future.

C9 Releases Bardiel and Second Raid for The Extreme Dungeon

September 25, 2013 (San Jose, Calif.) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, launches the long-awaited second raid for The Extreme Dungeon: Bardiel Seal in the 3D Fantasy-Action MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9).
A few months ago, C9 players were tasked with defeating three raid bosses in the Extreme Dungeon – Creios, Molleck and the Rebecca Twins. Starting today after regular scheduled maintenance, players will face their most challenging conquest to date – battling Bardiel, the God of Fire, and re-sealing him in his fiery prison.
ABOUT BARDIEL
Ancient myth describes a powerful being of pure destruction. Worshipped as a god by some and feared as a demon by others, all knew him as Bardiel, the God of Fire. Wielding immeasurable power, he brought chaos and fire wherever he went. Arguably the most powerful god any adventurer has ever encountered, Bardiel can easily turn his challengers to cinders and withstands brutal attacks with ease. Since he is a god, he cannot be destroyed, leaving Sarad’s reinforcements no choice but to seal him through mystical means if they wish to save Glenheim.
THE EXTREME DUNGEON: BARDIEL SEAL is located on Sarad, the Fifth Continent of Glenheim. A full party of 4 players is highly recommended to challenge the God of Fire. The Extreme Dungeon can only be accessed by characters that are Level 62 and above. Those who are strong enough to defeat Bardiel will have a chance to acquire mythical accessories that unlock additional powers when the entire set is complete. Players who collect the Sealed Book of Flames can obtain the most powerful armor in C9 – the Jin Armor.
ABOUT THE EXTREME DUNGEON: BARDIEL SEAL
The story of the Bardiel Seal continues from the Holy City of Basilus, the last stage in the Fifth Continent. During the Genesis War, the Goddess Akene defeated Bardiel, and banished him to the depths of Sarad. To secure his imprisonment, the Earth Dragon Molk bestowed his Fang and Claw to the Harcs and ordered them to protect the dungeon (Bardiel Seal). Thousands of years later, the Fang was destroyed, leaving only a tiny shard, which ended up in the hands of the evil Nefer. With the help of his minions, Nefer was able to use the Chipped Fang to release Bardiel from his prison. It is now up to Sarad's might reinforcements to re-seal the dungeon and stop Nefer, before it’s too late.

CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9) takes players to the fantasy world of Glenheim, in which they fight against evil forces and gigantic monsters. Utilizing extremely powerful melee, ranged and magical skills, players will fight swarms of evil, demonic forces using FPS style controls in a huge, dungeon-based 3D world. CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9) Reveals SIXTH CONTINENT OF RAEBIN

August 14, 2013 (San Jose, Calif.) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, continues the third expansion for the dungeon-based MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9), by releasing the SIXTH CONTINENT OF RAEBIN. Last month, C9 unleashed a new advanced class for the Shaman – the powerful, orb-wielding DEMONISHER. Starting August 21, 2013 (Global Server Time), players will have a chance to battle the monsters who have invaded RAEBIN, the thrilling new sixth continent of Glenheim. In addition, WEBZEN will also host a massive competition for a brand new Eurocom M3 Gaming Super-Notebook.
The action continues for CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL! The evil Nefer and his army have invaded the Guardian’s Tower in the SIXTH CONTINENT OF RAEBIN to find Tertis’ Heart, a special power protected by the water dragon, Artesia. To save Glenheim from destruction, C9 players must battle their way through each level of the tower, while fighting off attacks from Nefer’s powerful forces. The Guardian’s Tower features 20 levels and three major dungeons. The first dungeon will be available on August 21, 2013 (GST). The game’s upcoming expansion also features an increased level cap of 65 and a new class of Epic items, which have the potential to overpower other items in the game.
To celebrate the release of the SIXTH CONTINENT OF RAEBIN, WEBZEN is teaming up with EUROCOM to host a massive monster-hunting competition. After defeating one of the game’s event monsters, C9 players will be rewarded with a chest of items which will contain random items and a special Eurocom coupon. The player with the most coupons by the end of the competition will win a brand new M3 Gaming Super-Notebook, featuring discrete video and extreme processors.
THE STORY
Seventy years after the Genesis War, Artesia and the remaining dragons joined forces to seal Tertis (a dragon created by Akene for battle), who went out of control after succumbing to his own power and years of solitude. Each of the six dragons took one of the seals back to their nests in order to protect them. The water dragon, Artesia, grew worried that she would also succumb to her loneliness one day, so she decided to seal her power in the Endor spring on the Sixth Continent of Raebin. She concealed her power, Tertis’ Heart, in a tall tower and placed guardians on each level. For a short time, peace was restored in Raebin. However, the Sixth Continent was eventually invaded by the allied forces of Heike and Nefer. The Endor spring was captured by Heike and the Guardians’ Tower was raided by Nefer, who coveted the heart of Tertis. The mighty guardians were helpless against Nefer, who had already collected four emblems of Tertis. Nefer placed his underlings on each level of the tower, ensuring that no one would stop him as he ascended to the top, where the heart of Tertis lies.

MU REBIRTH Returns – WEBZEN Kicks Off Second Beta Celebration

August 8, 2013 (San Jose, Calif.) – WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, launches the highly anticipated Second Beta Celebration for MU REBIRTH: The Official PVP Server. Starting today, players will be able experience this new action-packed RPG without having to worry about activity being wiped after beta ends. To celebrate the thrilling return of MU REBIRTH, WEBZEN also kicks off a series of free giveaways and special in-game events for players to enjoy during second beta. The Second Beta Celebration ends August 21 at 8am (Global Standard Time).
Second beta for MU REBIRTH will be available to all players and does not require a beta key code for activation. Unlike the game’s closed beta test, all activity during the Second Beta Celebration (including character creation, leveling and item purchases) will be saved after the beta period has concluded. This provides all players with the opportunity to strengthen their characters in preparation for MU REBIRTH’s Massive Global PVP Tournament. Details on the game’s Open Beta will be announced shortly after the Second Beta Celebration ends on August 21.
MU Rebirth Giveaways
• Free In-Game Cash Giveaway – WEBZEN has teamed up with 37 MMO sites to offer players free in-game cash. During the beta period, gamers can visit WEBZEN’s partnering sites to obtain free codes, which can be redeemed for 3000 cash points. These points can be used to purchase weapons, armor, enhancements and other items in MU REBIRTH.
• W Coin Giveaway – Players will be rewarded with W Coins just for being a part of MU REBIRTH’s second beta. All participants who log into the game will automatically receive 100 W Coins (C). For every 10 Rebirths, each player will receive an additional 100 W Coins (Players will be rewarded for up to 50 Rebirths, which can be redeemed for 500 W Coins).
