C9 US Champion going to G-Star 2012 in Korea

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, successfully hosted GNGWC C9 the Americas region championship held by Kocca in Los Angeles.
On November 13th, Team ‘Ares’ has earned the ticket to Korea to compete in the GNGWC 2012 C9 World Championship, representing the Americas region. During the finals, Webzen held individual competition along with various events to audiences. The intense tournament finals and individual matches can be viewed at www.livestream.com/c9livestream.
US champion team ‘Ares’, Europe champion team ‘Random’, along with Korea, Japan, and China champions will be invited to ‘G-Star’ held in Busan, Korea where the finals will take place to compete for the grand prize and the C9 World Champions title.
Meanwhile, WEBZEN has implemented the new content ‘Mentoring’ system on November 11th to help new players to easily adapt to the game by encouraging and providing benefits for skilled high-level players to mentor new players.

MU Online Reveals MU:eX700 Plus Update

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, will be unveiling the major MU:eX700 Plus update for MU Online..
On October 10th (GST), MU Online, the pioneer of 3D MMORPG, will be continuing its legacy with wide range of exciting new contents update of level cap increase, User Interface redesign, powerful unique items, and much more.
In the MU:eX700 Plus update, the max level cap will be increased from level 700 to 702, along with the addition of new socketed weapons and item sets for each race. The items can be acquired by defeating monsters at certain level zones across the continent of MU.
Also, there will be a new type of ‘Wing’ in the update, which is one of the symbols of the game. Four new types of the ‘Evil’s Cursed Wing’ will enable players to empower their characters with enhanced defense, aerial capabilities, and aesthetic visuals.
Additionally, User Interface will be redesigned based on players’ feedback for the convenience of players. Players will be able to easily check the Health Point of Monsters and party members with the new status bars, and there will be several other improvements such as more visible speech bubbles.
Meanwhile, together with the update there will be events such as experience boost and item giveaway promotion worth $200 through its partners.

Arctic Combat 2nd Closed Beta Starts with e-sports Tournaments

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the start of the second closed beta for the online tactical FPS game, ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’, holding e-sports tournaments for North America and Europe.
This October 10th (GST), Arctic Combat will open its 2nd closed beta revealing new contents and holding the regional qualification tournaments for North America and Europe. Players can receive beta keys from the many game media sites and redeem it at the official Arctic Combat website (ac.webzen.com).
For this closed beta, two new maps, ‘Downtown’ and ‘Vintage’, will be revealed, providing more variety to contents. The newly added ‘Customization System’ will allow players to change the appearance and performance of their weaponry. Also, the ‘Clan System’ will be added, giving clan members an experience and point boost while enhancing team-based gameplay.
Meanwhile, Arctic Combat’s ‘Veterans League’ is continuing the excitement of the e-sports community. During this closed beta, the 2nd qualification online tournament will take place for North America and Europe. Each region’s winning team will compete against the winners of the first tournament, ‘Mops’ (NA) and ‘Venezuela’ (EU), on October 27th, to determine who will be invited to the World Championship offline tournament at G-Star 2012 in November.

Archlord renewed with‘The Dark Revelation’

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, will be unveiling Major Expansion of Archlord.
On September 26th (GST), Major Archlord Expansion ‘The Dark Revelation’ will be revealed with major contents, and WEBZEN will be running Free Item Giveaway Event to g ive out newly updated armor through partners to celebrate the expansion release.
The most significant feature of the expansion is the ‘Shrine’ system where players’ individual skills and team strategies are required to win, which is differentiated from the existing Race and Guild battles. Shrine Coins can be earned by winning in Shrine battles, which can be used to purchase the most powerful PvP gear available in game.
Another feature of the expansion is the completely renewed cities. The existing Human and Orc cities will be renewed with a new appearance with majestic feel, as well as more convenient and accessible path within the cities. The User Interface will also be modified based on various feedback accumulated across prolonged period of time to better suit the players.
Additionally, skill rebalance of all Races will be applied based on players’ feedback and will also be updated constantly. Other updates such as extended skill slot, quest tutorial system, and item comparison features are expected to provoke excitement of the players.

Arctic Combat Europe Qualification Finals Live from ESL

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the final top two teams who will face off in the Europe Qualification Tournament Finals.
This September 15th (GST), Arctic Combat will hold the Europe Qualification Tournament Finals to determine who will advance to the ‘Veterans League – World Championship’. The two teams ‘Venezuel’ and ‘eaazy’ have reached the finals during the preliminaries held during the last closed beta hosted by ESL EU.
The finals will be hosted by ESL where viewers around the world can watch live. To commemorate the finals, the servers will be open for one day. Participants of the closed beta will be able to access and play Arctic Combat from 01:00 on the 15th (GST) for 24 hours.
