Arctic Combat Battlegrounds Expand to South America

February 13, 2013 - WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced the open of the South America server for the multiplayer online tactical FPS game, ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’ also adding new contents with the update.
On February 13th, Arctic Combat servers have been added for South American players, providing better service and an enjoyable environment for the eager players in this region. The new recruits in South America join the game, timed with new gaming environmental upgrades such as multi-lingual support, including Spanish and Portuguese represented. South American players will be able to pre-download the game client at the AC website before the server opens.
Along with the open of the South American server, the latest content update will include a new weapon and new map for Arctic Combat Veterans. The TAR-21, an assault rifle built specifically for urban combat, has been added to the game’s arsenal of weapons. The new “High Way” map offers another venue for action-packed Team Deathmatch competition for loyal Arctic Combat soldiers. Alongside these additions, the skill-based gameplay has been further refined, with a weapons and game balance adjustments, update to the kill streak system, as well as an improved in-game sound system.
Meanwhile for this week’s Valentine’s Day, special Valentine editions weapons will be available for purchase, leaving enemies to learn that pink rifles and heart-decorated grenades are just as deadly. Arctic Combat New Content and Microsoft Partnership Revealed

January 24, 2013 - WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced and updated new contents for the multiplayer online tactical FPS game, ‘ARCTIC COMBAT’ also revealing details on their partnership with Microsoft.
On January 24th, Arctic Combat has revealed the newly added contents; the QBZ-95 assault rifle, favored by the Chinese military; the compact but powerful personal defense weapon, the P90; and the always effective Kriss SV Bengal Tiger. A new “Snow” camouflage paint for weapons is also included with this new content. Along with this latest artillery, the worldwide battleground widens with the introduction of the new ‘Syria’ map, a desert-themed taking players to the Far East.
Additionally, in the coming weeks, Arctic Combat Veterans can enlist in a series of new events and promotions. Opportunities for players include an ‘800 Minute’ event, rewarding Veterans who have engaged in play for over 800 minutes during the event timeframe with an as of yet unrevealed SMG weapon. Also on the horizon, for a period of one week, all players can receive +100% EXP points during this limited time event. Players of Arctic Combat experience the competitive play and intense FPS combat without connection errors and lags, as WEBZEN has partnered with Microsoft and their cloud-computing platform, Azure, to create a special platform for online gaming. With this collaboration, for the first time in gaming, a unique hybrid version of Window Azure has been developed, in order to bring stability and a fast, smooth infrastructure to players around the world, reducing lag to a virtually unnoticeable level. Offering speed over 2.5 times faster than a private server, Windows Azure assures players that the tension of the battlefield will not be interrupted with technical issues, and that as the Arctic Combat army grows, the service will continue to be just as seamless, smooth and fast.

C9 Opens a New SEA Server,‘Acharon’

WEBZEN Inc. (WWW.WEBZEN.COM), the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, announced that the Continent of the Ninth Seal is launching a new ‘SEA’ server ‘Acharon’ to cope with the phenomenal demand from players.
On January 23th, C9’s new game server ‘Acharon’ will be open to provide an easy access and a stabilized network environment for players around Asia, except for China, Japan, and Thailand where are currently covered by local service providers.
To celebrate the launch of the new server, C9 will be holding various events to welcome both transferred and new players. All players who join the ‘Acharon’ server will be supported with free cash-shop items and an extra bonus EXP boost. Also, character migration service will transfer all the existing Asian region players from the current server.

The World of Chantra Grows with the Server Consolidation

WEBZEN.Inc (WWW.WEBZEN.COM) the Next Generation of Free-to-Play Online Games, has announced that there will be a consolidation of Gracia and Zian servers for Medieval MMORPG Archlord.
On January 30th, Archlord’s server consolidation will take place as the result of enduring effort to provide enhanced gaming experience according to players’ constant feedback. Through this combination, further intense battles from players will revitalize the most competitive siege warfare and the final battle to be the absolute ruler of the Chantra.
All characters from Gracia server that have accessed the game after July 1st, 2012 will be transferred to the combined server without any further transfer requests. Regardless of merging, relevant server’s accounts will be able to enjoy both characters from each server. Players are encouraged to check their eligibility of character transfer prior to the consolidation.
To prepare for the fierce battles before the merge, warriors from Gracia and Zian will be supported with free cash items. After the consolidation, the first Archlord and the guild members will be rewarded special unique items. Also, all servers will be provided with various events to celebrate the combination of both servers.
